[Driving and dementia: Case analysis in a cognitive disorders diagnostic unit].

Objective: To determine clinical characteristics of patients with dementia who are currently driving and to analyse the way driving cessation is put into operation and the difficulties identified by patient and family.

Method: A descriptive study of patients evaluated during 2 years in a Cognitive Disorders Assessment Clinic in the Hospital Universitari de la Santa Creu de Vic (Barcelona, Spain), who were driving at the time of diagnosis. General and functional patient data were recorded and a questionnaire was later completed by their relatives.
