[Allelic variants of the CYP2D6: *4, *6 and *10 in a sample of resident from the Aragua state, Venezuela].

The aim of this study was to determine the CYP2D6: * 4, * 6 and * 10 gene variants frequency and to predict the metabolizer phenotype in a sample of 145 unrelated apparently healthy individuals residing in the state of Aragua, Venezuela. Genotypes were determined by Polymerase chain reaction assays followed by restriction endonucleases digestion. The metabolizer phenotype prediction was made based on the activity score system.
