Aldosterone (ALD) is excreted in urine mainly as glucuronide conjugates of ALD and tetrahydroaldosterone. Measuring these urinary metabolites might be an alternative screening test to plasma ALD for primary aldosteronism. We report a validated LC-MS/MS method to measure both analytes simultaneously.

Materials and Methods Institutional review board approval and written informed consent were obtained. The use of computed tomographically (CT) guided percutaneous RF ablation was evaluated in 36 patients (19 men; mean age ± standard deviation, 52.

Traditionally, the diagnosis relies on dihydrotestosterone (DHT) measurement, but the results are often equivocal, potentially leading to misdiagnosis. We reviewed alternative approaches for diagnosis of 5ARD.

Lipid changes with statin treatments vary greatly between individuals for reasons which are largely unknown. This study was performed to examine the genetic determinants of lipid responses to rosuvastatin in Chinese patients. A total of 125 polymorphisms in 61 candidate genes from 386 Chinese patients were analyzed for association with the lipid responses to rosuvastatin 10 mg daily.
