The paper is based on the results of a CT study of 71 women with normal pelvic dimensions without pelvic bone or pelvic organ pathology who underwent the study in 2022-2023. All subjects consented to the study, which was performed according to the indications. The CT study consisted of determining the width, height, and thickness of the pubic symphysis in 3D reconstruction mode.

The Purpose Of The Study: Determination of the diagnostic value of ultrasound elastometry of liver (UEL) in the assessment of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic diffuse liver diseases (CDLD).

Material And Methods: The study involved 316 patients with various etiologies of the CDLD, with the underwent both liver biopsy, the UEL, and evaluation of fibrosis (F) according to the Metavir classification.

Results: The maximum diagnostic accuracy of the UEL was obtained in determining of the 4-th stage of fibrosis according to the Metavir.

The capacity of a specially designed neural network for familiarity recognition and recollection has been compared. The recognition is based on calculating some quantity interpreted as the familiarity of a pattern. The familiarity is calculated using a modified Hopfield energy function in which the value of the inner sum is replaced by the sign of this value.

[Cognitive advantages of the third age: a neural network model of brain aging].

We consider a neural network model of age-related cognitive changes in aging brain based on Hopfield network with a sigmoid function of neuron activation. Age is included in the activation function as a parameter in the form of exponential rate denominator, which makes it possible to take into account the weakening of interneuronal links really observed in the aging brain. Analysis of properties of the Lyapunov function associated with the network shows that, with increasing parameter of age, its relief becomes smoother and the number of local minima (network attractors) decreases.

Ecologically tolerable levels (ETL) of environmental factors have been determined for freshwater ecosystems in Asiatic part of Russia and neighboring countries (basins of Ob, Yenisei, Lena, Amur, and Syr-Darya rivers). Inobservance of ecologically tolerable levels degrades ecological status of the ecosystems manifested as deviation from normal saprobic indices of phytoplankton, zooplankton, and periphyton as well as biotic indices of zoobenthos. The basins were compared by the calculated ETL values for over 40 physicochemical indices.

A brief history of optimization approach in modern evolutionary ecology is given and author's own results concerning life history evolution are considered in more details. The problem of evolutionary optimization is formulated in terms of mathematical theory of optimal control as a problem of optimal sharing of organism's resources between growth, reproduction, repair, and maintenance. The Malthusian parameter is used as optimality criterion.

[The network mechanisms of physiological regulation].

A review of connectionist or network approach to describe and understand regulatory processes in organism is presented. Network models of neural, genetic, immune and endocrine regulation are considered and a conception of organism as an integrative network system is introduced. A new approach to the problem of organism state control, called associative control, is proposed and its possible medical applications, in particular, in psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and alternative medicines are discussed.

[The use of bar attachment in removable dentures].

The results of treatment of 230 patients with dentition defects are presented. Plate, arch, and removable bridge dentures were used fixed with a special clammer suggested by the authors. The follow-up has shown good functional and esthetic characteristics of the suggested denture designs.
