Materials And Methods: Eighty-six core biopsy specimens were obtained from 18 colorectal liver metastases (CLMs) immediately after Y transarterial radioembolization (TARE) with either resin or glass microspheres using real-time Y PET/CT guidance in 17 patients. A high-resolution micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) scanner was used to image the microspheres in part of the specimens and allow quantification of Y activity directly or by calibrating autoradiography (ARG) images.
Endoscopic submucosal dissection can remove large superficial gastrointestinal lesions in en bloc. A detailed pathological evaluation of the resected specimen is required to assess the risk of recurrence after treatment. However, the current method of sectioning specimens to a thickness of a few millimeters does not provide information between the sections that are lost during the preparation.

Methods: Contractions of rat and mouse isolated EDL were induced by either electrical stimulation (ES) or exogenous carbachol and recorded in the presence of ATP or adenosine (both at 100 μM).
Results: ATP at all temperatures caused a decrease of the contractions induced by carbachol in rat and mouse EDL and ES-induced contractions in rat EDL, while it potentiated the ES-induced contractions of mouse EDL.
Renal arteriovenous malformation is a rarely encountered disease characterized by the presence of a direct arteriovenous shunt between the renal artery and vein. This nosology was first described by Varela in 1928, and by 1997 the number of such cases amounted to slightly more than 200. In 3 cases the nonorganic retroperitoneal pelvic tumor was removed, the 4 full-layer urinary bladder and ureteral orifice resections and simultaneous ureteral plasty together with ileal-obturatory lymphadenectomy (2 - cancer of the urinary bladder cervix, 1 - pheochromocytoma of the urinary bladder) and 2 ureterocele with complete ureter duplication and megaureter were performed. Technical aspects of the robotic layerwise resection of the neck of the urinary bladder were worked out.

Methods: Utilizing the combination of electrophysiology and myography, we investigated whether βAP also impairs the functioning of myocytes in frogs and mice.
Results: Although application of βAP in the range of 10(-6) to 10(-8) M induced depolarization of muscle fibers in both species, it impaired contractility in frogs but not in mice, by reducing endplate potential amplitude and increasing the threshold potential.
We studied possible involvement of ATP in the influence of protein sensitization on contractile function and non-quantum secretion in the end-plate of isolated skeletal muscles from mouse leg. The dynamic vector of muscle contraction force was shown to correlate with changes in non-quantum secretion of acetylcholine under various conditions of experimental pathology. However, the degree of these changes was lower in sensitized animals.
