Background: Previous meta-analyses of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) combination therapy pooled sequential and initial combination together, which might threaten their authenticity and clinical significance for the difference between two strategies.

Methods: PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that compared sequential combination therapy (SCT) with background therapy (BT) in PAH patients. Raw data were extracted to calculate risk ratio (RR) or weighted mean difference (WMD) for predefined efficacy and safety outcomes.

Long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) have critical roles in various pathophysiological processes, and are frequently dysregulated in many diseases, particularly in cancer. The lncRNA glypican 3 antisense transcript 1 (GPC3-AS1) has been reported to be a potential biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) screening. However, the exact biological functions of GPC3-AS1 in HCC, and its roles and regulation mechanisms regarding GPC3 are still unknown.

Crystals of manganese(II) dibarium bis-(hydrogenphosphate) bis-(dihydrogenphosphate), MnBa(2)(HPO(4))(2)(H(2)PO(4))(2), were obtained by hydro-thermal synthesis. The title compound is isotypic with its Cd(II) and Ca(II) analogues. The structure is built up of an infinite {[Mn(HPO(4))(2)(H(2)PO(4))(2)](4-)}(n) chain running along [100], which consists of alternate MnO(6) octa-hedra and [PO(4)] tetra-hedra, in which the centrosymmetric MnO(6) octa-hedra share their four equatorial O-atom corners with tetra-hedral [PO(3)(OH)] groups and their two axial apices with tetra-hedral [PO(2)(OH)(2)] groups.

The crystal structure of Ce[B(5)O(8)(OH)(H(2)O)]NO(3)·2H(2)O, cerium(III) aqua-hydroxidoocta-oxidopenta-borate nitrate dihydrate, has been redetermined from single-crystal X-ray diffraction data. In contrast to the previous determination [Li et al. (2003 ▶).

[Dietary composition, echolocation pulses and morphological measurements of the long-fingered bat Miniopterus fuliginosus (Chiroptera: Vespertilioninae)].

We investigated food (insect) availability in foraging areas utilized by the long-fingered bat Miniopterus fuliginosus using light traps, fish netting and fecal analysis. The dominant preys of M. fuliginosus were Lepidoptera (55%, by volume percent) and Coleoptera (38%) of a relatively large body size.
