This paper seeks to establish a generalized numerical model to examine the free vibration behavior of functionally graded porous (FGP) elliptical shells and panels with various boundary types. The model is built on first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) to express structural displacements. A segmentation technique is used to maintain continuity between shell elements, and virtual spring boundary techniques are employed to simulate arbitrary boundaries.

However, current research mainly focuses on medicinal Dendrobium, with less study on the medicinal value of ornamental Dendrobium. We analyzed the microstructures, active components of the stems from twelve ornamental Dendrobium, and explored the biosynthetic networks of these active components based on transcriptome sequencing.

Unlike previous studies that focused on simplified geometries or specific boundary conditions, this work combines the least-squares weighted residual method (LSWRM) with an adapted variational principle, addressing high-order vibration errors and ensuring continuity across structural segments. The material properties are modeled using an extended rule of mixtures, capturing the effects of carbon nanotube volume fractions and distribution types on structural dynamics.

Their associations with health issues remains a significant concern. Although some studies have suggested associations between phthalates and metabolic diseases, the current understanding of the associations is still limited, especially the lack of effects of mixed exposure.

The combination therapy of glucocorticoids (GCs) and methotrexate (MTX) is recommended in early RA management, although the precise underlying mechanism of action remains unclear. This study is aimed to clarify the mechanism of MTX in combined with GC in treating RA.

Endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndoMT) plays a critical role in skin fibrosis. Nevertheless, whether lactate overproduction directly contributes to flap necrosis and its mechanism remain unknown.

Background: Primary malignant bone cancers have extremely low incidence, resulting in poor evaluation of their epidemiological characteristics. The objective of this study was to investigate trends in the incidence of primary malignant bone cancers and related mortality.
Materials And Methods: Data from patients diagnosed with malignant bone cancers from 2000 to 2017 in the Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results database were retrospectively analyzed.
Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the major histological type of primary liver cancer with a relatively poor prognosis, because most HCC cases are usually diagnosed at an advanced stage. Thus, it is essential to explore novel candidate biomarkers for early diagnosis and prognosis predication of HCC.
Methods: HCC transcription sequencing data were downloaded and analyzed.
Understanding the burden associated with occupational asbestos exposure on a global and regional scale is necessary to implement coordinated prevention and control strategies. By the GBD Study 2019, we conducted a comprehensive assessment of the non-communicable diseases burden attributable to occupational asbestos exposure. In 2019, 239,330 deaths and 4,189,000 disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) worldwide due to occupational asbestos exposure occurred.

Here we propose a mechanical stress-induced lumbar disc degeneration model to better understand the molecular mechanism of lumbar disc degeneration under stress stimulation.
Purpose: To design a new model of lumbar disc degeneration under mechanical stress.
Background And Aims: Maternal malnutrition is a major global public health problem that can lead to serious maternal diseases. This study aimed to analyze and predict the spatio-temporal trends in the burden of maternal disorders attributable to malnutrition, and to provide a basis for scientific improvement of maternal malnutrition and targeted prevention of maternal disorders.
Methods: Data on maternal disorders attributable to malnutrition, including number of deaths, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), population attributable fractions (PAFs), age-standardized mortality rates (ASMRs), and age-standardized DALY rates (ASDRs) were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 to describe their epidemiological characteristics by age, region, year, and type of disease.

The introduction of an environmental protection tax enables a smooth shift from the sewerage charge system to the environmental protection tax scheme. This, in turn, promotes a more sustainable development of enterprise growth, emphasizing eco-friendliness. This is of immense importance in advancing environmentally aware practices and sustainability.

Here, we uncovered that m6A-demethylase ALKBH5 upregulated and stabilized long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) small nucleolar RNA host gene 15 (SNHG15), which was elevated in MM and positively correlated with unfavorable clinical prognosis factors. ALKBH5-SNHG15 axis participated in viability and migration/invasion of myeloma cell lines and MM-xenografted SCID/NOD mice.

The contribution of the different CD4 + T helper cell subtypes to the pathogenesis and regulation of aGVHD is a central point in current research. The specialized effector subsets of T cells that differentiate from naive T cells into mature cells are closely related to scaffold/matrix-associated region-1-binding protein (SMAR1).

Here, we investigated the mechanism of anti-inflammation effect and osteoclastogenesis side effect of GCs and immunoglobulin G (IgG) treatment against GIOP. GCs inhibited SLE IgG-induced inflammation, while IgG inhibited GCs-induced osteoclastogenesis.

Methods: Based on data from the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) 2019, the global burden of disease due to diet low in fruits was analyzed for each country or region, disaggregated by disease type, age, sex, and year. The number of deaths and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), population attributable fraction (PAF), age-standardized mortality rate (ASMR) and age-standardized DALY rate (ASDR) were calculated, and the average annual percentage change (AAPC) was calculated to describe trends in ASMR and ASDR from 1990 to 2019.
Background: Leukemia is a threat to human health, and there are relatively few studies on the incidence, mortality and disease burden analysis of leukemia in China. This study aimed to analyze the incidence and mortality rates of leukemia in China from 2005 to 2017 and estimate their age-period-cohort effects, it is an important prerequisite for effective prevention and control of leukemia.
Methods: Leukemia incidence and mortality data from 2005 to 2017 were collected from the Chinese Cancer Registry Annual Report.

Chondrocytes undergo an age-dependent decline in their proliferation and synthetic capacity, which is the main cause of OA development. However, the intrinsic mechanism of chondrocyte senescence is still unclear.
