Ovarian mucinous tumors in <15 years old are rare with <50 cases reported till date in the literature. Majority of them are benign or borderline epithelial ovarian tumors with only 12 cases of cystadenocarcinomas reported at a young age. We report a case of mucinous cystadenocarcinoma in 14-year-old girl with metastasis to omentum at the time of presentation.

The involvement of fallopian tubes is not rare in endemic areas and may predispose to ectopic pregnancy and infertility. Indian subcontinent is a very lowrisk region for schistosoma infection.

Material And Methods: Women with gestational diabetes not responding to diet control were randomized into two groups: (i) the control group receiving insulin (n = 32); and (ii) the study group receiving glyburide (n = 32). Primary outcome was assessed in terms of achievement of glycemic control and secondary outcome was assessed by the incidence of maternal and fetal complications in the insulin and glyburide treated groups.

Background: Metastatic retroperitoneal adenocarcinoma presenting as obstructed labor is extremely rare.
Case: An unbooked 35-year-old multipara came to our casualty in obstructed labor at 38 weeks of pregnancy. A palpable retroperitoneal mass was found behind the gravid uterus and cervix after delivery of a live baby during emergency cesarean section.

Objective: To study the vascular patterns of ovarian tumors by color Doppler imaging (CDI) and compare the findings of conventional sonographic studies and CDI with histopathologic findings for the same tumors.
Methods: Fifty nonpregnant women scheduled for elective surgery for ovarian tumors were examined by sonographic scanning and CDI by the same physician. Sonographic morphology scores [SMSs] were used, and the pulsatility index (PI) and resistance index (RI) were calculated after locating vessels in and around the tumors by CDI.
Background: Nongestational pure ovarian choriocarcinoma is a rare malignancy with only 29 cases described to date.
Case: We describe a case associated with mature cystic teratoma of the contralateral ovary. Details of all 30 cases including clinical features, associations, surgicopathological findings, operative procedures, postoperative chemotherapy, and outcome are summarized.
To assess the oxidative stress across the cell membrane in patients suffering from pregnancy induced hypertension, erythrocyte malonyldialdehyde, vitamin E, reduced glutathione, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity and plasma urate levels were estimated in 25 non pregnant women, 40 normotensive pregnant women and 40 women with pregnancy induced hypertension (PIH). As compared to non pregnant women, there was a significant increase in the levels of erythrocyte malonyldialdehyde and plasma urate in normotensive pregnant women, which were further increased in women with PIH. Erythrocyte glutathione levels were raised in normotensive pregnant women as compared to non pregnant women.
