Background: Dialysis recovery time (DRT) refers to the period during which fatigue and weakness subside following hemodialysis treatment, allowing patients to resume their daily routines. This study aimed to identify the factors influencing DRT in hemodialysis patients in Turkey and Portugal, where the prevalence of chronic kidney disease is notably high.
Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted in a private dialysis center in Turkey and three dialysis centers in Portugal.

Using proton-proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of collected by the CMS experiment at , the decay is observed for the first time, with a statistical significance exceeding 5 standard deviations. The relative branching fraction, with respect to the decay, is measured to be , where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is related to the uncertainties in and .

Aim: The aim of this study is to test the validity and reliability of the shortened version of the Scale for the Environments Evaluation of Professional Nursing Practice (SEE-Nursing Practice).
Methods: This methodological, cross-sectional study was conducted between September and December 2022. The original version of the SEE-Nursing Practice was administered in questionnaire format across 17 hospitals.
Purpose: This study aimed to determine the efficacy of an exergame rehabilitation program on pain, anxiety or depression, and fatigue in oncology patients undergoing abdominal surgery.
Methods: The randomized controlled trial evaluated the efficacy of exergame rehabilitation on Pain, Anxiety, Depression, and Fatigue in oncology patients undergoing abdominal surgery. Patients were recruited from October 2022-March 2023 and were randomly assigned to the intervention group (postoperative traditional rehabilitation plus an exergame rehabilitation program) or control group (postoperative traditional rehabilitation).
COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 that has become a serious threat to public health owing to its rapid spread from aerosols from infected people. Despite being considered a strictly human disease, there are reports in the literature about animals with confirmed presence of the virus. Owing to the scarcity of scientific literature on the potential for infection of animals and their importance for One Health, the objective of this work was to research SARS-CoV-2 RNA in felines (Felis silvestris catus) and dogs (Canis lupus familiaris) domiciled.

Technological advances have led to the emergence of minimally invasive surgical approaches such as tubular microdiscectomy (TMD) and percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD). The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes of PELD to those of TMD at one-year follow-up.

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an unprecedented disruption in healthcare systems worldwide, and Portugal was no exception. We analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in activity of our Vascular Access Center (Grupo Estudos Vasculares - GEV).
Material And Methods: This is a retrospective study, during March 2019 and February 2021.
Background: Exergames can be an appealing strategy that is integrated into post-abdominal surgery rehabilitation.
Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of exergame rehabilitation in improving independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and patient balance after abdominal cancer surgery.
Methods: A randomized control-group study was carried out in an oncological hospital in Portugal.
Purpose: To assess doses variabilities in the same abdomen and chest RX exams for adults, to check the need for dose harmonization. To calculate Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRL), mandatory in the European Union, for the Algarve district in Portugal. Our results can be a valuable reference for the Portuguese official determination of DRLs, still in progress.

Material And Methods: A single-center retrospective analysis was conducted of all patients with hemodialysis vascular access outflow stenosis treated with a paclitaxel-coated DES (Eluvia; Boston Scientific, Marlborough, Massachusetts) between January 2020 and July 2022. A total of 34 DESs were implanted to treat outflow stenosis in 32 patients.
The mass of the top quark is measured in 36.3 of LHC proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS detector at . The measurement uses a sample of top quark pair candidate events containing one isolated electron or muon and at least four jets in the final state.

The multiplicity of jets with that are produced in association with a high- dijet system is measured in various ranges of the of the jet with the highest transverse momentum and as a function of the azimuthal angle difference between the two highest jets in the dijet system. The differential production cross sections are measured as a function of the transverse momenta of the four highest jets.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe structure of nucleons is multidimensional and depends on the transverse momenta, spatial geometry, and polarization of the constituent partons. Such a structure can be studied using high-energy photons produced in ultraperipheral heavy-ion collisions. The first measurement of the azimuthal angular correlations of exclusively produced events with two jets in photon-lead interactions at large momentum transfer is presented, a process that is considered to be sensitive to the underlying nuclear gluon polarization.

The production of Z bosons associated with jets is measured in collisions at with data recorded with the CMS experiment at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36.3. The multiplicity of jets with transverse momentum is measured for different regions of the Z boson's , from lower than 10 to higher than 100.

The search is performed using proton-proton collision data collected at sqrt[s]=13 TeV by the CMS experiment at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb^{-1}. Boosted H→cc[over ¯] decay products are reconstructed as a single large-radius jet and identified using a deep neural network charm tagging technique.

The analysis targets Higgs bosons produced via gluon fusion, vector boson fusion, and in association with a W or Z boson. Candidate events are required to have at least two charged leptons and moderate missing transverse momentum, targeting events with at least one leptonically decaying W boson originating from the Higgs boson.

New sets of parameter tunes for two of the colour reconnection models, quantum chromodynamics-inspired and gluon-move, implemented in the pythia 8 event generator, are obtained based on the default CMS pythia 8 underlying-event tune, CP5. Measurements sensitive to the underlying event performed by the CMS experiment at centre-of-mass energies and 13, and by the CDF experiment at 1.96 are used to constrain the parameters of colour reconnection models and multiple-parton interactions simultaneously.
