Background: The dwindling antibiotic reserve owing to augmented drug-resistant bacteria is a major handicap for treating physicians. , a gram-negative encapsulated member of family, is one such pathogenic bacteria. Carbapenemase-producing globally recognized as one of the most critical bacterial threats to public health due to its extremely limited treatment options.

Its incidence has surged dramatically over the past decades, with severe cases potentially leading to life-threatening conditions such as dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS). Despite its prevalence in tropical regions, including India, the clinical manifestations of dengue can vary widely, sometimes presenting atypically.

We examined the prevalence of the bacterial organisms and trends in drug resistance in AECOPD. In this retrospective study, between January 2016 to December 2020, among 3027 AECOPD patients, 432 (14.

Diphtheria is a vaccine-preventable disease and is caused by toxigenic strains of Corynebacterium diphtheriae. Several case reports have been published in the recent years, and this resurgence of cases has occurred mainly in adolescent and adult populations. Also, several research articles have reported waning immunity against diphtheria in adults who have completed childhood immunization.

Methods: We did a multi-centric, hospital-based, case-control study between May and July 2021.
Febrile seizures (FSs) are the common presentations of seizures in childhood. Activation of cytokine network plays a significant role in the genesis of FSs. Interleukin (IL)-6 is often considered as key cytokine in the generation of FSs.

We conducted this study to determine the proportion of spoligotype lineages and drug susceptibility profile of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates among smear positive TB patients attending a tertiary care hospital in Mysore, Karnataka, India.
Methods: It is a descriptive study conducted at JSS Hospital a tertiary care centre at Mysore, India during 2018-19.
Background: Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a multidrug resistant organism recognized as major cause of infections ranging from relatively minor skin and soft tissue infections to life-threatening systemic infections. Contact transmission from health care personnel (HCP) to the patients provides the main mode of transmission of MRSA. Screening of HCPs colonized with MRSA may aid in preventing spread of this organism.
