Oral cancer is a global health concern, particularly because of its aggressive tissue invasion and metastases, holding 16 position on occurrence among all carcinoma worldwide. The aberrated transcription factor NF-κB1 influences development and spread of oral cancer, making it a potential therapeutic target. This study investigated the therapeutic potential of a few natural compounds from Artocarpus heterophyllus, Tinospora cordifolia, and Glycosmis pentaphylla in the treatment of oral cancer.

Heart failure (HF) is the fastest-growing disease with a higher fatality rate. The most differentiating feature of HF is pulmonary or peripheral edema, which is characterized by a gradient between intravascular and extravascular pressure. Loop diuretics were chosen as the primary treatment for edema associated with HF due to their efficacy and early onset of action.

Background: Surgical correction of post-infarct ventricular septal defect (PIVSD) is associated with a significant incidence of morbidity and mortality. The authors aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of surgical versus transcatheter approaches in the management of PIVSD.

Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis of retrospective from five databases including the Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, Ovid, and Scopus) until 9 March 2024 was conducted.

Introduction Fixed prosthodontic treatment involves the replacement of missing tooth structures with a variety of materials. Several newer metal-free ceramics have been developed in recent years to meet patients' aesthetic needs. The long-term performance of all ceramics, however, is unknown, necessitating a continuous evaluation of the materials' strength.

Glycosmis pentaphylla, a member of the Rutaceae family, has been extensively studied for its pharmacological activities, focusing mainly on the cytotoxic properties of its roots and stems. Conversely, limited researched has been done in terms of the phytochemical composition of the fruits. The objective of this study is to isolate and identify the bioactive compounds found in the fruits of G.

Background: Herbal Nano Medicines (HNMs) are nano-sized medicine containing herbal drugs as extracts, enriched fractions or biomarker constituents. HNMs have certain advantages because of their increased bioavailability and reduced toxicities. There are very few literature reports that address the common challenges of herbal nanoformulations, such as selecting the type/class of nanoformulation for an extract or a phytochemical, selection and optimisation of preparation method and physicochemical parameters.

Thermal energy conversion and storage plays a vital role in numerous sectors like industrial processing, residential and mass cooking processes, thermal management in buildings, chemical heating, and drying applications. It will also useful in waste heat recovery operations in industrial/thermal power stations. The effect of AlO nanoparticle volume fraction (0%, 2%, and 5%) in a paraffin phase change material (PCM) and heater location (Bottom and Sidewall) in a 2D square thermal energy storage system have been numerically analyzed in this study.

The traditional solid-state reaction method was employed to synthesize bulk calcium cobaltite (Ca349/CaCoO) ceramics via ball milling the precursor mixture. The samples were compacted using conventional sintering (CS) and spark plasma sintering (SPS) at 850, 900, and 950 °C. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern indicates the presence of the Ca349 phase for samples sintered at 850 and 900 °C.

Introduction: For the restoration of grossly decayed root canal treated teeth, posts are used frequently to retain core for the definitive restoration. Therefore, it is necessary to create adequate adhesion at the post-root-cement interface for long-term performance of a post retained restoration.

Aim: To establish the outcome of surface pretreatments such as silanization, sandblasting, and silanization followed by thermal activation of fiber posts on bonding with a dual-cured adhesive resin-based cement.
