Electrical instruments are an integral part of human life resulting in a vast electronic waste generation (74.7 Mt by 2030), threatening human life and the environment due to its hazardous nature. Therefore, proper e-waste management is a necessity.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe growing consumption of electrical and electronic equipment leads to high amounts of electronic waste (e-waste), which is now considered the fastest-growing waste stream at the national and international levels. As well as being a potential secondary resource due to its precious metals content, e-waste also contains strategic metals and plastics. For instance, mobile phones have about 25-55% plastic substances.

The molecular characterization of the isolated bacteria was performed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Klebsiella pneumoniae AT-1 (MZ599583), Citrobacter freundii AT-4 (OK178569), and Bacillus subtilis AT-5 (MZ323975) were dominant strains used for RPCM wastewater bioremediation experiments.

A sampling of airborne bacteria and fungi was performed using the gravitational method in 9 sites including an upwind site, intra-plant and outside a hospital wastewater treatment plants with activated sludge technology in Tehran (1, 5 and 3 points, respectively) from March to June. Bioaerosol on nutrient agar media were identified quantitatively and qualitatively.

Methods: The pre- and postvaccine introduction costs were compared. The total annual costs included the vaccination and diarrhea treatment costs.
Contamination of environment, especially soil, is in great concern and can cause health problems. Thus, remediation of these pollutants through environmentally friendly methods should be considered. The aim of this data was bioremediation of TNT from contaminated soil.

The aim of this study was to determine the budget impact of adding Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) as a part of a Pentavalent vaccine (Hib-HBV-DTP) to the national childhood immunization schedule of Iran.
Methods: An excel-based model was developed to determine the costs of including the Pentavalent vaccine in the national immunization program (NIP), comparing the present schedule with the previous one (including separate DTP and hepatitis B vaccines).
One of the new technologies in the field of health is wearable biosensor, which provides vital signs monitoring of patients, athletes, premature infants, children, psychiatric patients, people who need long-term care, elderly, and people in impassable regions far from health and medical services. The aim of this study was to explain features and applications of wearable biosensors in medical services. This was a narrative review study that done in 2015.

Materials And Methods: The material consisted of 70 cases of which 20 cases were treated without extraction and 30 cases were treated with extraction, which were compared with 20 untreated cases which served as a control group. A series of three measurements were made for each case of the treated group: At the beginning of treatment, end of active treatment and 1-3 years post-retention; and for the control group: At 12, 15 and 18 years of age.
The widespread prevalence of melanoma, one of the most malignant forms of skin cancer, is increasing rapidly. Two chemotherapeutic regimens are commonly used for the palliative treatment of malignant melanoma: intravenous administration of single-agent dacarbazine or oral administration of temozolomide. The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness and side effects of dacarbazine with those of temozolomide through a meta-analysis.

Diazinon was administered by gavage at doses of 15, 30 and 60 mg/ kg. The liver was perfused and removed under anaesthesia.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFABSTRACT The effects of diazinon, pentoxifylline, and their combination therapy on plasma glucose, the key enzymes of glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis, and oxidative stress were studied in rat liver and muscle. Oxidative stress was determined by measuring the concentration of lipid peroxides and assessing total antioxidant capacity. Diazinon (60 mg/kg) and pentoxifylline (100 mg/kg) were administrated by gavage.

However, the surgical techniques must vary according to the clinical presentation of the patients or the anatomical patterns observed. Furthermore, surgery is generally difficult because of the poor condition of the aortic tissues.
