We investigated time-dependent changes in the relapse features of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) after curative surgery. Between 1985 and 2015, 1398 patients with RCC (1226 clear cell RCC, 89 papillary RCC, and 53 chromophobe RCC) underwent curative surgery at Yokohama City University Hospital and its affiliated hospitals. We retrospectively reviewed the clinicopathologic factors of patients with relapse after surgery.

Although accumulating preclinical evidence indicates the involvement of androgen receptor signals in bladder cancer (BC) development, its clinical relevance remains unclear. We aimed to evaluate the predictive role of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in BC recurrence in prostate cancer (PC) patients. We retrospectively reviewed 20,328 patients with PC diagnosed during 1991-2013 and identified 239 (1.

Silodosin (URIEF), a new so-called 3rd generation alpha-1 blocker, is widely expected to be effective and useful for lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), due to its high specificity to alpha-1A receptor. We evaluated the efficacy of Silodosin, on 187 males 50 years old or over with the diagnosis of BPH. Silodosin significantly improved the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) and quality of life (QOL) score from the day after administration was started.

Objective: To investigate the antitumour effect of electroporation (EP), a drug delivery system that has been shown to be effective synergistically with antitumour drugs, with bleomycin on the growth of prostate cancer xenografts in nude mice.

Materials And Methods: PC-3 cells were implanted subcutaneously into nude mice. After determination of the optimal conditions of electric pulse voltage and bleomycin dose, tumour growth in mice treated with EP plus bleomycin was compared with that in mice receiving EP alone, bleomycin alone or no treatment.

A 58-year-old male consulted our hospital because of penile swelling and pain with bilateral inguinal lymphadenopathy. Pathological examination of the penile tumor and right superficial inguinal lymph node biopsy demonstrated moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma with lymph node metastasis. We diagnosed the tumor inoperable radically and adjuvant chemotherapy with methotrexate, cisplatin and bleomycin was administered, followed by partial penectomy and left superficial lymphadenectomy.

Pheochromocytomas may occur as either sporadic or familial tumors. Clinical features of pheochromocytomas in neurofibromatosis 1 (NF1) patients are similar to those in patients with sporadic pheochromocytomas, unlike pheochromocytomas associated with other hereditary syndromes. Here we report two cases of pheochromocytoma associated with NF1.
