Background: Pediatric workforce shortages became more apparent with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the rise in other viruses. Among factors affecting these shortages are undergraduate and graduate curricula that include pediatric content and clinical experiences.
Method: A narrative review was conducted to examine the state of the pediatric nursing workforce, describe curricular models in undergraduate and graduate programs, and determine the effects of these models on pediatric content and clinical experiences as well as subsequent employment in pediatric nursing.
Background: The integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) concepts throughout the curriculum is imperative to the preparation of advanced-practice nurses to deliver person-centered care. This article describes the design and evaluation of one institution's faculty-developed DEI competencies for graduate nursing students.
Method: A task force of faculty and content experts utilized a modified Delphi approach in the development of DEI-focused competencies related to advanced-level nursing education.

The effectiveness of simulation to reduce the theory-practice gap in graduate nursing education is supported by an extensive body of research, and numerous studies have demonstrated improved learner outcomes in such areas as clinical competence, confidence, and preparedness for practice. This paper explores the types of simulation-based education available for graduate nursing programs and provides examples of graduate nursing simulations that educators can use in their own programs to prepare clinicians for practice.

Telehealth in the neonatal environment can improve remote medical care and access to specialized care and training eliminating barriers for effective health care delivery. Clinicians are utilizing telehealth in their practice to provide specialized care and training in areas that have little access. Educating health care clinicians on the basics of telehealth is an essential component of clinical training programs.

Purpose: Make a recommendation for the number of direct patient care clinical hours in pediatrics that are needed to meet the pediatric nursing competencies.
Obstetric and pediatric patients require unique specialized care not included in traditional adult health education. To prepare nursing students for clinical rotations beginning the second week of class, faculty developed an innovative one-day simulation seminar, the OB/PEDS Boot Camp, in which groups of students rotated through six stations of obstetric and pediatric simulation exercises. This article provides insight on the development and implementation of the OB/PEDS Boot Camp.
