- A2780 ovarian cancer cells were treated with various doses of cisplatin and EL-EMF, and assays showed that combining these therapies led to a significant decrease in cell viability, with the greatest effects seen at lower doses of cisplatin.
- The combination treatment also resulted in increased apoptosis markers, activation of caspases, and changes in gene expression, specifically an increase in P53 and a decrease in MMP-2, suggesting that EL-EMF can help restore sensitivity in resistant cancer cells.
