Background: Serum uric acid-lowering therapy is associated with maintaining renal function.
Objective: We aimed to retrospectively evaluate renal function and serum uric acid in patients with hyperuricemia who received topiroxostat for over a year.
Methods: Medical records of patients from 1 January, 2015 to 31 October, 2019 in our hospital were used.
Olanexidine gluconate 1.5% (Olanedine) is a colorless and transparent antiseptic agent introduced in 2015. In this study, we examined its usefulness and safety for cardiovascular catheterization and compared them to 10% povidone-iodine (PI).

Spontaneous rhythm reversion had not occurred prior to these events in either patient. Our findings indicate that Bisono Tape may be a new and more effective treatment for AFL and PSVT in patients undergoing hemodialysis.

The history of the present illness included paroxysmal atrial flutter which was untreated, but she had not developed heart failure. At admission, auscultation of the chest revealed moist rales and systolic murmur but did not clearly show the presence of fixed splitting of S2.

Cardiac catheterization revealed an occluded middle portion of the left anterior descending artery and no collateral circulation. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) was performed, and ST elevation improved 5 days after PCI.

Methods And Results: The present study investigated 57 patients with stenosis of the left main trunk (LMT) who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). They were categorized into 3 groups, based on the angiographic findings: Group I comprised 9 patients with IOS; Group II comprised 12 patients with left coronary ostial stenosis in the presence of distal vessel obstructions; Group III comprised 36 patients with stenosis of LMT excluding ostial stenosis and associated with distal vessel obstruction.
Background: The long-term prognosis and serial angiographic follow-up beyond 10 years in patients who underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) have not been fully studied in Japan.
Methods And Results: In the present study data from 71 patients who underwent CABG before 1992 were analyzed. Thirty patients had a saphenous vein graft (SVG) only group, and the remaining 41 had a left internal thoracic artery graft to the left anterior descending coronary artery (LITA) group; 6 patients died from malignancy, which was the most common cause of death after CABG.
Unlabelled: Lipoprotein (a) (Lp(a)) is an independent risk factor for myocardial infarction (MI). It may also inhibit the fibrinolysis system, and Lp (a) affects the natural course of MI and the results of thrombolytic therapy. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Lp (a) on the residual lesion stenosis of the infarction-related arteries (residual stenosis) in acute MI patients in whom reperfusion therapy was not performed.

In the present study, 8 patients with APTE who were less than 40 years old (YG) were compared with 40 patients who were more than 41 years of age (OG). All YG patients had coagulopathy compared with 3 patients in the OG (p<0.

Plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) have been shown to increase in patients with atrial fibrillation. However, secretion of ANP and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in patients with IBAD remains unclear.
