Understanding the reasons to avoid seeking mental health professionals: Validation of the MITOS-MENTAL questionnaire in Peru population.

There is still much resistance, myths, beliefs, and misconceptions regarding the seeking of mental health services for diagnosis and treatment. The objective was to validate an instrument to determine why Peruvian workers would not seek mental health professionals. In an instrumental study, literature was searched, and mental health professionals were asked about the most common reasons for not attending consultations.

Factors associated with the perception of resentment towards the Chinese in Latin America during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Introduction: Resentment towards the Chinese population was perceived during the first months of the pandemic because the pandemic/disease started in that country.

Objective: To determine the factors associated with the perception of resentment towards the Chinese in Latin America during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Methodology: Analytical cross-sectional study conducted during the second semester of the pandemic in more than a dozen countries.
