Pleomorphic adenomas primarily arise in the major salivary glands, especially in the parotid. The most common area is the lower pole superficial to the plane of the facial nerve. In this report, a pleomorphic adenoma in an atypical location--the region of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ)--is presented.
