As a result of polypositional assessment of venous blood flow, it was found that the violations of magistral venous blood flow in the left kidney can affect the formation and progression of varicocele, and the severity of disorders of spermatogenesis. The necessity of assessment of testicular veins and the pressure in left renal vein not only in clin- and orthostasis or Valsalva maneuver, but in the six static positions is discussed; this can allow to register the violations of magistral renal blood flow at the early stages important for fertility disorders, improve the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of patients with varicocele.

Apart from standard ophthalmological tests, flowmetry and duplex ultrasound of ocular vessels were performed in all cases to evaluate volumetric and velocity parameters of ocular blood flow in relation to the length of anterior-posterior axis and the degree of myopia. It is found that both parameters of regional blood flow progressively decrease as the anterior-posterior axis increases.

Based on mathematical prediction and experiment, value of air bubbles, hampering urine outflow and contributing to the development of purulent postoperative complications in urology, was demonstrated. A certain number of air bubbles in catheters leads to the formation of air-urinary impaction, causing a sharp increase of intrapelvic pressure.

Studies were conducted on 331 eyes (205 subjects). Group 1 consisted of 80 patients (126 eyes) without glaucoma being found, with intraocular pressure (IOP) in the average normal range, but with a TIOP excess of 1-8 mm Hg (a risk group); Group 2 included 15 subjects (20 eyes) without glaucoma with normal IOP in whom TIOP exceeded the existing IOP by 1-7 mm Hg; Group 3 comprised 110 patients (185 eyes) with Stage I-III primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) with compensated IOP.

A system of pathogenically oriented combined surgical interventions was shown to be highly effective in patients with cataract concurrent with OAG. View Article and Find Full Text PDFBasing on their experience with 1115 cases of prehospitalization excretory urography, the authors think it misleading to reject excretory urography at the height of renal colic because normal kidney completely excretes contrast medium. It is shown that a part of the latter is deposited by the affected kidney and fills the upper urinary tracts up to the level of the obstacle causing acute urostasis. Excretory urography at the height of renal colic is valid in hospitals with 24-hour x-ray service and in cases of urgent surgery.

It is shown, that the cells of gastric and small intestinal tissues synthesize the unidentified compounds, which suppress the peroxidation of lipids in the renal, hepatic and brain tissues. The gastric factor is thermostabile, while the intestinal factor is partially thermolabile. In case of gastrointestinal pathology the activity of these factors is reduced.
