If spermatozoa cannot be found after testiculer sperm extraction (TESE) in patients followed up due to nonobstructive azospermia (NOA) and the patients do not want donor spermatozoa, performance of round spermatid injection (ROSI) with the current technology seems to be the last resort. This retrospective study was conducted to evaluate the effect of testicular morphology on the development of embryos to the blastocyst stage obtained from ROSI. Between September 2019 and March 2020, after TESE and biopsy 29 patients who had only spermatid were taken to study.

Is it safe to use a thermocautery device for circumcision? Examination of the histopathological changes emerging after thermocautery-assisted circumcisions.

Multiple number of techniques and devices have been described concerning circumcision method so far. One of them is thermocautery device, and it has been widely used. Although there is controversy that the penis may be damaged due to the heat generated during the use of the device, not enough histopathological studies have been conducted.

Executive function deficits contribute to poor theory of mind abilities in adults with ADHD.

Introduction: Studies exploring the theory of mind (ToM) in adults with Attention/Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), have tended to result in mixed findings. The contribution of neuropsychologic functions to ToM has not been investigated yet in adults with ADHD. The aim of this study was to investigate ToM abilities and the role of attention and executive functions in ToM of adults with ADHD.

Epidermoid cyst of the urinary bladder: a case report.

Epidermoid cyst of the bladder is a very rarely encountered benign lesion. Up to our knowledge, we present the second case of epidermoid cyst of the urinary bladder in literature. We report a case of epidermoid cyst developed in a 59-year-old patient followed up with bladder tumor.

Mobbing at Workplace -Psychological Trauma and Documentation of Psychiatric Symptoms.

Objectives: Mobbing at the workplace refers to such cases as verbal harassment, aggressive words, sarcasm, slander or social isolation repeatedly targeted at a specific person at a specific period of time. Previous studies indicate that wellness and health of the victims who have been subjected to mobbing at workplace were affected adversely. Recently, there has been an increase in mobbing cases in Turkey.

Congenital prepubic sinus presenting with purulent discharge after circumcision: a case report.

Background: Congenital prepubic sinus is a rare anomaly found in the midline of the lower abdomen. Congenital prepubic sinus is usually asymptomatic in neonates, and a diagnosis is often achieved later in life after spontaneous extrusion of purulent material from the pre-existing hole in the pubic region. We present a case of congenital prepubic sinus presenting with purulent discharge after circumcision.

An epidermal cyst of the penis after distal hypospadias surgery: a case report.

Background: Epidermoid cyst is a benign tumor that can occur anywhere in the body but is rarely seen in the penis. Congenital and previous penile surgeries have been reported to be involved in the etiology of the disease, which is usually asymptomatic. Here we describe a case of a patient with a penile epidermoid cyst, which occurred in the circumcision line on the left side of his penis, and urethral dehiscence following hypospadias surgery.

Retention rates of adalimumab, etanercept, and infliximab as first- or second-line biotherapies for spondyloarthritis patients in daily practice in Auvergne (France).

Objective: To compare, in real-life settings, the retention rates of initial anti-tumor-necrosis factor (TNF) treatments (etanercept [ETN], adalimumab [ADA] and infliximab [IFX]) used as first-line biotherapy for axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), and evaluate treatment switches to another anti-TNF inhibitor in the event of treatment failure.

Methods: We analyzed the medical records of all SpA patients (Assessment in Ankylosing Spondylitis International Working Group axial criteria) treated with ETN, IFX or ADA between 2001 and February 2015. Drug retention rates were calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by means of the Cox extended model.

Management of inflammatory rheumatic conditions in the elderly.

The number of elderly people with chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases is increasing. This heterogeneous and comorbid population is at particular risk of cardiovascular, neoplastic, infectious and iatrogenic complications. The development of biotherapies has paved the way for innovative therapeutic strategies, which are associated with toxicities.

Abatacept for Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis: Special Focus on the Elderly.

Targeted therapies have been developed for patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) for whom prior treatment with traditional disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs has failed. The numerous different signaling pathways now targeted by various classes of monoclonal antibodies and small molecule inhibitors may complicate treatment decisions. Abatacept selectively modulates a co-stimulatory signal necessary for T-cell activation.

An unusual localization; esophageal melanocytosis.

Esophageal melanocytosis is a rare clinical and pathological condition characterized by non-atypical melanocytic proliferation and increased melanin in the esophageal mucosa, which is normally histologically non-melanocytic. Intensive melanin accumulation and hyperpigmentation are necessary for endoscopic recognition. Due to the fact that it is a rare gastrointestinal system pathology, experience and knowledge about its diagnosis, treatment and course are also limited.

Characteristics of spontaneous coagulase-negative staphylococcal spondylodiscitis: a retrospective comparative study versus Staphylococcus aureus spondylodiscitis.

Background: Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are increasingly implicated in recent patient series of spondylodiscitis, but there are no series of CoNS-spondylodiscitis available. The objective of this study was to compare the characteristics of patients with spontaneous CoNS-spondylodiscitis with those patients with Staphylococcus aureus (SA) spondylodiscitis.

Methods: This was a retrospective single center study involving 147 spontaneous infectious spondylodiscitis cases observed between 2000 and 2015.

Objective: To compare, in real-life conditions, the retention rates of anti-tumor necrosis factor (anti-TNF) treatment (etanercept [ETN], adalimumab [ADA] and infliximab [IFX]) initiated as first-line biotherapy for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and to evaluate, in case of failure, the switch to another anti-TNF or a non-anti-TNF biological.

Methods: Monocentric retrospective cohort including all patients with RA starting a first anti-TNF between 2001 and 2015.

Results: Among the 346 patients analyzed, 201 received ETN, 82 ADA and 63 IFX.

Prevalence and risk factors of low bone mineral density in spondyloarthritis and prevalence of vertebral fractures.

Background: Investigate the prevalence and risk factors of low bone mineral density (BMD) in patients with axial spondyloarthritis as well as investigating the prevalence of vertebral fractures.

Methods: Patients underwent BMD measurements with dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) in the anterior-posterior lumbar spine, lateral spine and hip. We screened for vertebral fractures using vertebral fracture assessment, and then checked for syndesmophytes on the VFA images.

Frequency of concomitant fibromyalgia in rheumatic diseases: Monocentric study of 691 patients.

Objective: Fibromyalgia (FM) is a confounding factor for diagnosing and assessing rheumatic disease activity. This study sought to assess the extent of this syndrome in rheumatism patients at a French rheumatology department.

Method: This monocentric epidemiological study enrolled all patients consulting due to rheumatoid arthritis (RA), spondyloarthritis (SpA), or connective tissue disease (CTD).

Prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in rheumatoid arthritis and association with disease activity and cardiovascular risk factors: data from the COMEDRA study.

Objectives: The relationship between vitamin D and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) activity remains controversial. RA is a cardiovascular risk factor. A low level of vitamin D may increase blood pressure (BP) and decrease HDL-cholesterol.

Psoriatic arthritis treated by anti-TNFs: a monocentric trial of 102 cases in Auvergne, France.

Objectives: While several registries have already evaluated the retention of anti-TNF therapy in psoriatic arthritis (PsA), they sometimes reach divergent conclusions. Our study therefore sought to assess therapeutic retention rates and predictive factors of response in a patient cohort from Auvergne, France, followed up in routine clinical practice.

Background: Anti-Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) therapies are able to control rheumatoid arthritis (RA) disease activity and limit structural damage. Yet no predictive factor of response to anti-TNF has been identified. Metabolomic profile is known to vary in response to different inflammatory rheumatisms so determining it could substantially improve diagnosis and, consequently, prognosis.

Agranulocytosis under biotherapy in rheumatoid arthritis: three cases hypothesis of parvovirus B19 involvement in agranulocytosis observed under tocilizumab and rituximab for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

Leukopenia is a considerably common complication of tocilizumab [TCZ] and rituximab [RTX] therapy. RTX-induced leukopenia typically exhibits delayed onset. While agranulocytosis has been reported linked to RTX treatment of lymphoma, this complication rarely occurs in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment and, to our knowledge, has never been reported in association with TCZ therapy.

Performance of Fibromyalgia Rapid Screening Tool (FiRST) to detect fibromyalgia syndrome in rheumatic diseases.

Objective: To evaluate the performance of the Fibromyalgia Rapid Screening Tool (FiRST) self-questionnaire for the detection of FM associated with inflammatory rheumatic diseases.

Methods: This cross-sectional, French single-centre study was carried out between September 2014 and April 2015 in all patients who consulted for RA, SpA or CTD. Diagnosis of FM was based on ACR 90 criteria and rheumatologist opinion.
