Complications related to radiofrequency ablation of lung tumors: CT findings and review.

Radiofrequency ablation is a treatment option for primary and secondary lung tumors, particularly in non-surgical patients. Although it is considered a safe and effective procedure, various complications can occur. Most of these adverse events are self-limiting and can be treated conservatively; however, some may be severe and require intervention.

"Interstitial lung abnormalities": translation to and use in Portuguese.

Objective: To conduct a survey on the use of the term "interstitial lung abnormalities" in radiology reports in Brazil, propose an appropriate Portuguese-language translation for the term, and provide a brief review of the literature on the topic.

Materials And Methods: A survey was sent via electronic message to various radiologists in Brazil, asking about their familiarity with the term, which translation of the term they use in Portuguese, and whether they use the criteria proposed by the Fleischner Society.

Results: A total of 163 responses were received, from all regions of Brazil.

Pancreatic transplantation with duodenoduodenostomy drainage: technique, normal radiological appearance and complications.

Pancreas transplantation is considered the curative treatment for severe type 1 diabetes mellitus in selected cases. Since the first procedure in 1966, surgical techniques have been improved. The current trend among most medical centers, as well as at our Institution, is enteric drainage and systemic venous or portal anastomosis.

Pediatric Liver Transplant: Techniques and Complications.

Liver transplant is considered to be the last-resort treatment approach for pediatric patients with end-stage liver disease. Despite the remarkable advance in survival rates, liver transplant remains an intricate surgery with significant morbidity and mortality. Early diagnosis of complications is crucial for patient survival but is challenging given the lack of specificity in clinical presentation.

Safety and feasibility of radiofrequency ablation for treatment of Bosniak IV renal cysts.

Purpose: To describe our initial experience with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of Bosniak IV renal cysts.

Materials And Methods: From 2010 to 2014, 154 renal tumor cases were treated with percutaneous thermal ablation, of which 10 cases (6.4%) from nine patients were complex renal cysts and were treated with radiofrequency ablation.
