Industries of the food sector have made a great effort to control SARS-CoV-2 indirect transmission, through objects or surfaces, by updating cleaning and disinfection protocols previously focused on inactivating other pathogens, as well as food spoilage microorganisms. The information, although scarce at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, has started to be sufficiently reliable to avoid over-conservative disinfection procedures. This work reviews the literature to propose a holistic view of the disinfection process where the decision variables, such as type and concentration of active substances, are optimised to guarantee the inactivation of SARS-CoV-2 and other usual pathogens and spoilage microorganisms while minimising possible side-effects on the environment and animal and human health.

In this study, responses of biodynamic human body models to whole-body vibration during a vehicle ride were investigated. Accelerations were acquired from three different body parts, such as the head, upper torso and lower torso, of 10 seated passengers during a car ride while two different road conditions were considered. Neutrophils are the predominant white blood cells in circulation when stimulated; they discharge the abundant myeloperoxidase (MPO) enzyme that uses hydrogen peroxide to oxidize chloride for killing ingested bacteria.
Aim: To investigate the contribution of neutrophils to the pathogenesis of psoriasis at the blood and tissue levels through inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and MPO.
An 11-year-old female, presented with a cervical myelomeningocele. Interestingly, the myelomeningocele sac was seen to contain a meningioma. There are no aetiological factors in the embryogenetic period that would lead to such a combination of lesions.

Between 3 and 6 months after the head injury a SPECT (single photon emission computed tomography) study for evaluation of the three-dimensional cerebral blood flow distribution and extensive neuropsychological tests were performed in 22 patients. The preliminary results of this prospective study have demonstrated that minimally symptomatic or asymptomatic EDHs cause no pathologic SPECT findings and that neuropsychological impairment and duration of the haematoma do not affect the results of conservative management.

Tuberous sclerosis is a neurocutaneous syndrome with a wide variety of clinical, pathologic, and radiologic manifestations. Intracranial phakomatosis has been reported to include subependymal nodules; cortical tubers, and subependymal giant-cell astrocytomas. Spinal metastasis plays an important role in the survival rate and general condition of cancer patients. In this paper, we present 70 patients with metastatic spinal tumors, diagnosed and surgically treated in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Orthopedics of Ankara Numune State Hospital between 1984 and 1993. Our clinical observations suggest that the survival rate is influenced by the type of the primary lesion, pathology, and the patient's preoperative physical and neurological status.
