: Male infertility is influenced by physiological factors like age, as well as lifestyle factors, including physical activity. However, the specific impact of sport activity on semen parameters, and thus on male fertility, remains unclear. Specifically, the aim of this systematic review is to evaluate how an intense regime of training may affect sperm parameters in professional and non-profession athletes.

The focused SE on specific sports tasks has been shown to impact athletic performance by interacting with other self-evaluation processes, like self-efficacy beliefs in emotion-related regulation and effective emotion regulation. This study aims at investigating the mediating effect of SE in regulating negative affect in the relationship between anger and taekwondo task-focused SE.

However, their use in the engineering of human tissues has been limited due to their intrinsic growth requirements, which are not compatible with human cells. In this study, we first formulated alginate-gelatin (AlgGel) hydrogels with increasing densities of.

The management of FM requires a multidisciplinary approach that combines pharmacological and non-pharmacological strategies. Growing evidence suggests a potential beneficial role of micronutrients such as minerals and vitamins.

Five hundred and sixty-six university students (261 rural and 305 urban) from Calabria region (Italy) attending universities courses filled an online survey where Global Physical Activity Questionnaire and Volition in Exercise Questionnaire were administered. Rural females (RF) showed lower PA levels and self-confidence than rural males (RM) (p<0.

Despite the inevitable shift in medical practice towards a deeper understanding of disease etiology and progression through multigenic analysis, the profound historical impact of Mendelian diseases cannot be overlooked. These diseases, such as cystic fibrosis and thalassemia, are characterized by a single variant in a single gene leading to clinical conditions, and have significantly shaped our medical knowledge and treatments. In this respect, the monogenic approach inevitably results in the underutilization of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.

The lack of typical drug-binding sites has long hampered the discovery of therapeutic drugs targeting KRAS. Since "CodeBreaK 100" demonstrated Sotorasib's early safety and efficacy and led to its approval, especially in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the subsequent identification of specific inhibitors for the p.

Magnesium deficiency may result in impaired physical performance. Moreover, magnesium plays an important role on delayed onset muscle soreness after training.

An online home-based exercise program may be a feasible approach in an obese population. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of twelve weeks of online Pilates plus diet on body composition in individuals affected by obesity.

Somatostatin Analogues represent the first line of systemic treatment of both functional and non-functional neuroendocrine tumors, through the expression of somatostatin receptors (SSTRs) in the tumor cells, and proved effective in controlling hormonal hypersecretion and inhibiting tumor growth, improving progression-free survival and overall survival of these patients. Aim of the present review is to investigate any differences by gender in efficacy and safety of SSTS-targeted therapies, that represent the mainstay treatment of neuroendocrine tumors, as they emerge from studies of varying design and intent.

Objective: This study explored the knowledge, experiences, and perceptions of PCPs in the Lazio Region of Italy in the management of obesity.
Design And Subjects: We conducted an anonymous survey delivered from March to July 2022 via the newsletter of Rome Provincial Order of Physicians and Dentists and at the annual meeting of the regional section of the Italian Obesity Society.
As many natural origin antioxidants, resveratrol is characterized by non-suitable physicochemical properties for its topical application. To allow its benefits to manifest on human skin, resveratrol has been entrapped within liquid crystal nanocarriers (LCNs) made up of glyceryl monooleate, a penetration enhancer, and DSPE-PEG 750. The nanosystems have been more deeply characterized by using dynamic light scattering and Turbiscan Lab Expert optical analyzer, and they have been tested in vitro on NCTC 2544.

As per other tumors, gender may be relevant in influencing the clinical and prognostic characteristics of NEN-associated CS. However, specific data on carcinoid syndrome (CaS) are still lacking.

Purpose: Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 4 (MEN4) is a rare multiglandular endocrine neoplasia syndrome, associated with a wide tumor spectrum but hallmarked by primary hyperparathyroidism, which represents the most common clinical feature, followed by pituitary (functional and non-functional) adenomas, and neuroendocrine tumors. MEN4 clinically overlaps MEN type 1 (MEN1) but differs from it for milder clinical features and an older patient's age at onset. The underlying mutated gene, CDKN1B, encodes the cell cycle regulator p27, implicated in cellular proliferation, motility and apoptosis.

Background: Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) early diagnosis is a clinical challenge that require a deep understanding of molecular and genetic features of this heterogeneous group of neoplasms. However, few biomarkers exist to aid diagnosis and to predict prognosis and treatment response. In the oncological field, tumor-educated platelets (TEPs) have been implicated as central players in the systemic and local responses to tumor growth, thereby altering tumor specific RNA profile.

Purpose: Many issues still remain unresolved in the management of pubertal patients with gender incongruence (GI). The aim of this review is to discuss the main aspects of the treatment of these patients to provide a practical approach for clinicians.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search within PubMed was performed to provide updates of available evidence regarding the impact on bioethical, medical and fertility issues in gender incongruence during transition age.
The diagnosis of parathyroid diseases by imaging still has some intrinsic technical limitations due to the differential diagnosis of different structures of the neck that mimic the parathyroid glands. In this view, ultrasound (US) is an established, low-cost, and non-invasive imaging technique that still represents the first-line approach for evaluating patients with parathyroid disease. The objective of this article is to provide a comprehensive review of the applications of USs in clinical practice, discussing the histopathological and US characteristics of the parathyroid glands in normal and pathological conditions, the advantages of preoperative imaging, and novel updates on the most useful and currently available multiparameter US techniques.

Patients on renal replacement therapy are typically subject to several dietary restrictions; however, this approach has been questioned in recent years, with some suggesting that the Mediterranean diet might be beneficial. Data on the adherence to this diet and factors that influence it are scarce. We conducted a web survey among individuals on renal replacement therapy (dialysis or kidney transplant, KT) using the MEDI-LITE questionnaire to assess adherence to the Mediterranean diet and dietary habits in this population.
