While harmonically mode-locked OFCs show promise for high-repetition-rate applications, their mode spacing is not the same as the pulse repetition rate, unlike fundamentally mode-locked OFCs. Although ganciclovir and acyclovir treatment was effective temporarily, the number of VZV-DNA copies in the blood remained at a high level, and the hepatitis was prolonged.
