Endobronchial lipomas are rare benign tumours of the lung. The reported case was a 56-year-old man who visited the public hospital with complaints of chest pain and persistent cough. On bronchoscopy, a smooth-surfaced polypoid tumour obstructing the main bronchus in the left lobe was detected.

Methods: Following standard preoperative work-up and VO(2)max testing, 55 patients (49 male; mean age 59 years, range 20-74) underwent major pulmonary surgery: lobectomy (n = 31), bilobectomy (n = 6) and pneumonectomy (n = 18).
