Determinants of Intrauterine Contraceptive Device Discontinuation Among Women Using Family Planning, in Southwest Ethiopia: Unmatched Case-Control Study.

Background: Although the intrauterine contraceptive device is an effective, reliable, safe, and recommended contraceptive method, it is still underutilized and has a high discontinuation rate in Ethiopia. The study aims to assess determinants of the discontinuation of IUCDs among women using family planning in Ilu Aba Bor Zone.

Methods: A facility-based unmatched case-control study was conducted from September to October, 2021 among 168 (56 cases and 112 controls) IUCD-user women in public health facilities in south-west Ethiopia.

Despite different vaccines being produced around the globe, the spread of the virus is still uncontrolled. In particular, the shortage of vaccines in low-income countries is one of the key factors hindering efforts to reduce the spread of the virus.

Awareness of obstetric fistula and associated factors among women in reproductive age group attending public hospitals in southwest Ethiopia, 2021.

Background: Obstetric fistula occurs in all developing countries but it is confined to the "fistula belt" across the northern half of Sub-Saharan Africa from Mauritania to Eritrea and in the developing countries of the Middle East and Asia. Ending obstetric fistula is critical to achieving Sustainable Development by 2030. So creating awareness on obstetrics fistula among women in the reproductive age group have a crucial role in reducing morbidity, mortality, and social stigma.

Prelacteal feeding and associated factors among mothers having children less than 24 months of age, in Mettu district, Southwest Ethiopia: a community based cross-sectional study.

Objective: Despite prelacteal feeding contravenes with exclusive breastfeeding, it is a prevailing problem in Ethiopia. However, its burden and factors were not investigated in Mettu district. Therefore, the objective of our study was to conduct the burden of prelacteal feeding and its associated factors.
