Accurate and efficient segmentation of coronary arteries from CTA images is crucial for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases. This study proposes a structured approach that combines vesselness enhancement, heart region of interest (ROI) extraction, and the ResUNet deep learning method to accurately and efficiently extract coronary artery vessels. Vesselness enhancement and heart ROI extraction significantly improve the accuracy and efficiency of the segmentation process, while ResUNet enables the model to capture both local and global features.

In this paper, a novel adaptive interval type-2 fuzzy controller (AIT2FC) is proposed for a class of nonlinear networked Wiener systems under packet dropout and time varying delay. The proposed AIT2FC compensates the negative effects of the packet dropout and time varying delay in both forward and feedback loops. The structure of the proposed AIT2FC has three parts, an adaptive interval type-2 Takagi-Sugeno (IT2TS) fuzzy controller, an IT2TS fuzzy Wiener model (IT2TS-FWM), and a time-varying delay and packet dropout compensator.

This study proposes a novel fuzzy Wiener structure for identifying engineering systems. The proposed model has a cascade structure; a nonlinear static part preceded by a linear dynamic part. The nonlinear static part is represented by an interval type-2 fuzzy Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (IT2TSK) system in which the antecedents of the rules are described by interval type-2 fuzzy sets (IT2FSs) and a TSK-type system describes the consequents.

The aim of this experiment was to study the effect of semen extender on sperm chromatin structure and to correlate chromatin integrity with field-fertility of preserved ram semen. Ejaculates of at least 2 × 10(9) sperm/ml and 70 % progressive motility were collected using an artificial vagina from Chios rams (n = 11, 4-6 years old), split-diluted to 1 × 10(9) sperm/ml with milk-egg yolk- and soybean lecithin (Ovixcell®)-based extenders, packaged in 0.5-ml straws and examined after 6, 24 and 48 h of storage at 5 ± 1 °C.

Two consecutive randomized double-blind field fertility experiments were conducted over a 4-month period and aimed at evaluating the association of two commercial soybean lecithin-based extenders (AndroMed [Minitub, Tiefenbach, Germany] and BioXcell [IMV Technologies, L'Aigle, France]) with pregnancy rates of chilled-stored (CS) and frozen-thawed (FT) ram semen. Semen samples with more than 2 × 10(9) sperm per mL and 70% progressive motile spermatozoa were collected via an artificial vagina from twelve proven fertile Chios rams, split-diluted with the above mentioned extenders, packaged in 0.25 mL straws and either stored at 5 ± 1 °C for 30 to 36 hours or frozen and thawed.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of boar age on quality traits and fertility of liquid-stored semen. Boars were allocated into 3 age groups: 7-10 months (young), 18-33 months (mature), 51-61 months (old). Ejaculates of > 200x10(6) sperm/ml and 85% total motile sperm were extended to 30x10(6) sperm/ml, stored at 17-18 °C and used within 12-24 h for artificial insemination (AI) of 2062 multiparous sows.
