Objectives: To evaluate the improvement of storage symptoms in accordance with voiding symptoms and assess the prognostic factors that influence the relief of storage symptoms after transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP).
Methods: Between August 2017 and November 2019, 75 patients indicated for TURP were included in the study, we assessed the improvement of storage symptoms and factors that may influence storage symptoms persistence after TURP such as Age, Overactive bladder symptoms (OABS) score (Blaivas 2007) and Urodynamic parameters such as maximum flow rate (Q MAX), maximum cystometric capacity (MCC), bladder contractility index (BCI), phasic and terminal detrusor overactivity (DO). Assessment of patients was done before and 6 months after TURP by international prostate symptom score (IPSS), quality of life score (QLSS), OABSS (Blaivas score 2007), and urodynamic studies.
The current study aimed to evaluate the long-term outcomes of TURED (transurethral resection of the ejaculatory duct) in treating male infertility due to ejaculatory duct obstruction (EDO) to the short-term follow-up. From 2000 to 2010, we retrospectively reviewed 30 men with infertility resulting from EDO who underwent TURED. Information on preoperative evaluation of patients was collected from the medical records.

Methods: In a prospective study, consecutive patients with primary distal hypospadias presented for repair were randomized to undergo either extended TIP (e-TIP) or standard TIP (s-TIP) technique. Cosmetic outcome was evaluated postoperatively using Hypospadias-Objective-Penile-Evaluation (HOPE) score and measurement of ventral-glans-closure-length (VGCL) and meatal length (ML).

BoNT-A (200 U diluted in 3 mL saline) was injected, using a 22-G spinal needle under transrectal ultrasonography guidance, with 1-mL in each lobe.

Patients And Methods: This prospective study recruited 127 adult patients with single distal ureteric stone of ≥1 cm. The patients were randomly allocated to two groups: the first group included 62 patients who received silodosin (8 mg) for 10 days before URS (Silodosin group), whilst the second group included 65 patients who received placebo, in the form of multivitamins, for 10 days before URS (Placebo group).
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of silodosin against tamsulosin as medical expulsion therapeutic agent in stone lower 1/3rd ureter.
Patients And Methods: One hundred fifty patients divided equally into 2 groups I and II received silodosin 8 mg and tamsulosin 0.4 mg respectively.
Objective: To compare outcomes of the Mathieu incised-plate (Mathieu-IP) technique vs the standard tubularised incised-plate (TIP) technique for primary management of distal hypospadias.
Patients And Methods: Between April 2012 and August 2015, 66 patients (aged 15-60 months) with primary distal hypospadias were randomly allocated to two groups. Group 1 included 34 patients who underwent Mathieu-IP repair and Group 2 included 32 patients managed using the TIP technique for primary management of distal hypospadias.

Patients And Methods: From March 2012 to July 2014, 46 age range-restricted (6-24 months) infants with 57 PUDT underwent HSSIO after obtaining written consent from their parents. The exclusion criteria were ectopic, retractile testes and recurrent cases.
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the safety, feasibility, and effectiveness of bipolar transurethral plasmakinetic enucleation of the prostate (PKEP).
Patients And Methods: Between January 2010 and October 2013, 245 patients with lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia underwent transurethral enucleation of prostate using bipolar plasma vaporization energy. Patients were evaluated preoperatively by full detailed history, routine preoperative investigation digital rectal examination, serum prostate-specific antigen, abdominal and transrectal ultrasonography, and maximum flow rates (Q).
One of the challenging problems in bioinformatics is the prediction of protein function. Protein function is the main key that can be used to classify different proteins. Protein function can be inferred experimentally with very small throughput or computationally with very high throughput.

Standard compression algorithms are not able to compress DNA sequences because they do not consider special characteristics of DNA sequences (i.e.

Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 3 (IGFBP3) is also regulated by HIF1 but works in a completely different manner by modulating the activities of insulin-like growth factors and inducing apoptosis. In this study, 2-dimensional (2D) polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) was used to analyze the protein expression profiles of VEGF and IGFBP3 isoforms in 93 lung adenocarcinomas and 10 uninvolved lung samples.

The protein expression status of human selenium-binding protein 1 (SBP1) in human tumours and the exact function of this protein are not known. In this study, quantitative two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-D PAGE) was used on 93 lung adenocarcinomas and ten uninvolved lung samples.

Morphologic assessment of lung tumors is informative but insufficient to adequately predict patient outcome. We previously identified transcriptional profiles that predict patient survival, and here we identify proteins associated with patient survival in lung adenocarcinoma. A total of 682 individual protein spots were quantified in 90 lung adenocarcinomas by using quantitative two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis analysis.

Both CRKI and CRKII have been shown to activate kinase signaling and anchorage-independent growth in vitro and CRKI transformed cells readily form tumors in nude mice. Affymetrix oligonucleotide arrays were used to analyse 86 lung adenocarcinomas and 10 uninvolved lung tissues.

The same tissue samples were examined for the eIF-5A mRNA expression using oligonucleotide microarrays, and the cellular localization of the eIF-5A protein was examined using immunohistochemical analysis on tissue arrays. Higher eIF-5A protein expression was present in tumors showing poor differentiation, 12/13(th) codon K-ras mutations, p53 nuclear accumulation, and tumors with positive lymphocytic response.

Three phosphorylated forms and one unphosphorylated form of the Op18 protein were identified and found to be overexpressed in lung adenocarcinomas as compared with normal lung.
