We herein contribute by reporting a case of carcinoma in situ affecting the lower lip and labial mucosa of a 56-year-old Brazilian female patient, which apparently represents the first case reported in Latin America.

Proposal of a prophylactic photobiomodulation protocol for chemotherapy-induced oral and oropharyngeal mucositis: a randomized clinical trial.
