Objective: Multiparameter flow cytometry is considered the gold standard to evaluate minimal residual disease in multiple myeloma (MM) and patients in complete remission can achieve "Flow MRD-negative" status (i.e. immunophenotypically abnormal plasma cells not detectable).

Whole-Genome Sequences of Five Oligotrophic Bacteria Isolated from Deep within Lechuguilla Cave, New Mexico.

Here, we report the whole-genome sequences and annotation of five oligotrophic bacteria from two sites within the Lechuguilla Cave in the Carlsbad Caverns National Park, NM. Three of the five genomes contain an acyl-homoserine lactone signal synthase ortholog (luxI) that is involved in cell-to-cell communication via quorum sensing.

[Experimental study of glipizide. A comparison with other hypoglycemic sulfonamides (author's transl)].

Glipizide is a new hypoglycaemic sulphonylurea. In this work we have studied experimentally the hypoglycaemic activity of this drug, its insulin secretory effect and its action on the development of the islets of Langerhans. Studies in the dog: In the normal conscious dog the hypoglycaemic effect of the drug was studied when increasing doses (0,03 mg/kg, 0,05 mg/kg, 0,07 mg/kg and 0,09 mg/kg) were injected intravenously.
