This study aimed to compare the results of free MS-TRAM and DIEP-flap based on the volume of the transplant and the unique characteristics of blood flow in the tissues. The study included 83 patients, 42 in the MS-TRAM-flap reconstruction group and 41 in the DIEP-flap breast reconstruction group. In the MS-TRAM-flap group, 35 patients received delayed reconstruction, and 7 received one-stage breast reconstruction, including one case of bilateral transplantation.

Energy and plastic potential dysfunction of erythrocytes and lymphocytes among people with inflammatory breast cancer, infiltrative stomach cancer, and infiltrative colon cancer is characterized by a more aggressive clinical course and poor prognosis. We explored the features of energy metabolism and phosphorus metabolism disorders in the erythrocytes and lymphocytes of patients with inflammatory breast cancer, infiltrative stomach cancer, and infiltrative colon cancer as a predicting factor in the course of the disease. 49 people were examined; the 1 group had infiltrative stomach cancer (n=17); the 2 group had infiltrative colon cancer (n=11); the 3 group had inflammatory breast cancer (n=21).

Breast cancers are very heterogeneous tissues constituted by epithelial cancer cells and an abnormal tumor microenvironment - cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), activated adipocytes, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), and others. The aim of the study is to cancer cells and their microenvironment, which behave like a complex and heterogeneous metabolic ecosystem, where cancer cells can reprogram their metabolism as a result of interaction with the components of the microenvironment. The study was based on cancer stem cells (CSC) that were isolated from breast tumors by magnetic separation (AutoMACS).

Pediatric biobanks are an indispensable resource for the research needed to bring advances in personalized medicine into pediatric medical care. It is unclear how or when these advances in medical care may reach children, but it is unlikely that research in adults will be adequate. We conducted the screening for a hypothetic problem in various European and American pediatric biobanks based on online surveys through e-mail distribution based on the Biobank Economic Modeling Tool (BEMT) questionnaire model.

PAI genotyping for the G43A and 4G/5G polymorphisms was performed in 60 patients with peptic ulcer disease: 12 with an uncomplicated ulcer, 5 with perforation, the rest with ongoing bleeding. Fourteen patients had recurrent bleeding. The 5G/5G and G43A genotypes were not detected in patients with uncomplicated ulcers.

Laboratory diagnosis of primary hyperaldosteronism is based on determining blood levels of aldosterone, renin on request, potassium, and sodium. The results of these studies are significantly influenced by drugs, preparation for the study and blood collection methods, age, gender, and concomitant diseases. The work analyzes the factors influencing the results of the study of aldosterone and identifies the main ways of their exclusion at each stage of the diagnosis.

Various magnetic (continuous current, alternating current and "running" impulse) fields were applied in 74 patients with trophic ulcers of lower limbs. 10-12 days after the beginning of the magnetic therapy wound surface has completely cleaned from necrotic tissues, surrounding inflammatory changes eliminated, epithelization of the wounds began. The most pronounced clinical effect was observed after the use of "running" impulse of magnetic field.

The results of treatment of 86 patients with the use of magnetotherapy in combination with galvanization and intratissue electrophoresis are presented. To create an electric field, the "Potok-1" apparatus with a density of current equal to 0.05-0.

A clinico-laboratory study revealed the efficiency of intratissue electrophoresis of drugs in the complex treatment of patients with trophic ulcer of the lower extremities. This is related to the favourable effect of the electromagnetic field on the lesion focus and possibility to increase the concentration of drugs in the inflammation focus.

At experimental investigations on 38 adult dogs for studying pharmacokinetics of kanamycin in the bile and liver tissue under the influence of the electric field of constant current, the increase in concentration of the preparation as compared with that in the control group was established. Optimal concentration of kanamycin retained for 14-16 h. Clinical study has shown the high effectiveness of the method for treatment of acute cholangitis suggested.

The work presents an analysis of treatment of patients with complicated forms of panaritium. To increase the efficiency of treatment the authors used certain physical factors, in particular, direct electric current--interstitial (intracavitary) electrophoresis of antimicrobial and antiinflammatory agents in complex therapy. The investigation of results of the treatment shows sufficiently high efficiency of the interstitial (intracavitary) electrophoresis.

Laser radiation and direct electric current were used in the complex therapy of acute suppurative mastitis. The wound cavity was treated by a focussed laser till the appearance of a coagulation crust followed by galvanization of the mammary gland. Such an approach to the associated application of the laser radiation and electric field of direct current is justified pathogenetically and increases the efficiency of treatment of suppurative mastitis.
