Prcis: Cognitive impairment in multiple domains was observed in primary open angle glaucoma patients as compared to age and gender matched healthy controls.
Objective: Evaluation of cognitive impairment in individuals with Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG).
Methods: In this case-control study, individuals with POAG (cases, n=70) were compared with age- and sex-matched healthy individuals (controls, n=70) using detailed ophthalmological evaluation, cognitive assessment and serum cortisol level.
Prcis: Trabecular cutting minimally invasive glaucoma surgery like bent ab interno needle goniectomy (BANG) when performed in baseline aqueous angiography identified low aqueous humor outflow regions, results in greater success of intraocular pressure reduction.
Purpose: To study the efficacy of Bent Ab Interno Needle Goniectomy (BANG) in high versus low aqueous humor outflow (AHO) regions as determined by Aqueous Angiography(AA) in patients with primary open angle glaucoma (POAG).
Methods: A prospective, single-centre, pilot, randomized control trial recruited 30 eyes of 30 patients of POAG and visually significant cataract (45-80 y) and were randomised into two groups ("A": BANG performed in the high-flow regions and "B": BANG performed in the low-flow regions) of 15 each.
Purpose: This study aims to analyze the outcomes of cases of abandoned cataract surgeries referred to a tertiary eye center.
Methods: This retrospective observational case series includes eleven cases referred to a tertiary eye center following abandoned cataract surgeries. The preoperative factors, intraoperative management, and postoperative outcomes were recorded and analyzed.
CYP1B1 is the most common gene implicated in primary congenital glaucoma (PCG) - the most common form of childhood glaucoma. How CYP1B1 mutations cause PCG is not known. Understanding the mechanism of PCG caused by CYP1B1 mutations is crucial for disease management, therapeutics development, and potential prevention.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional observational comparative study including 45 consecutive patients with progressive keratoconus planned for CXL. Mi-OCT (RESCAN 700) was used to measure central corneal thickness (CCT) during four stages of CXL: before epithelial debridement, after debridement, after riboflavin instillation, and after ultraviolet irradiation.

Design: Prospective, interventional, randomized, comparative study.
Methods: Eighty eyes of 40 patients undergoing bilateral SMILE or PRK for low to moderate myopia (<-5 D SE) were included.
Purpose: To compare the outcomes of simple limbal epithelial transplantation (SLET) with cultivated limbal epithelial transplantation (CLET) for the management of total limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) in eyes with unilateral ocular burns.
Design: Randomized controlled trial.
Methods: 100 patients (100 eyes) with unilateral total LSCD following ocular burns undergoing autologous Limbal Stem Cell Transplantation (LSCT) were enrolled and randomized into SLET and CLET groups.
Purpose: To compare the efficacy of monotherapy (natamycin 5% or Natasol 1%) versus combination therapy (natamycin 5% and voriconazole 1%) in the treatment of mild-moderate fungal keratitis.
Methods: In a prospective, comparative, interventional study, 60 eyes of 60 patients with mild-moderate fungal keratitis were included and randomized in 3 groups based on the topical antifungal therapy received: group 1, natamycin 5%; group 2, Natasol 1% (1% w/v aqueous natamycin); and group 3, combination of natamycin 5% and voriconazole 1%.
Results: 51 of 60 cases (85%) resolved with medical management only.
Purpose: To study the outcomes of minor salivary gland transplantation for severe dry eye disease secondary to chronic Steven Johnson Syndrome.
Methods: It was an ambispective, interventional case series conducted at Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, Delhi, India from 2022 to 2023 evaluating the outcomes of minor salivary gland transplantation with anchorage of the minor salivary glands to superior rectus muscle in twenty cases of severe dry eye disease secondary to chronic Steven-Johnson Syndrome. The pre-operative clinical parameters were compared to those at post-operative 1 year follow-up.
Purpose: To assess the safety and efficacy of bent ab interno needle goniectomy (BANG) in moderate to severe primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) eyes undergoing phacoemulsification (phaco).
Design: Single-arm, prospective, interventional study.
Methods: POAG patients with medically uncontrolled intraocular pressure (IOP), >15 mmHg for moderate and >12 mmHg for severe POAG, with visually significant cataract were recruited.
Purpose: To evaluate the incidence of rise in intraocular pressure (IOP) in fellow eyes of patients with unilateral primary congenital glaucoma (PCG) and to identify risk factors for IOP increase over long-term follow-up.
Methods: The medical records of unilateral PCG patients who had completed at least 5 years of follow-up were reviewed retrospectively. The incidence of developing ocular hypertension / glaucoma in fellow eyes was analyzed.
Prcis: Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) was used to assess visual cortical activity in patients with primary open angle (POAG) and primary angle closure (PACG) glaucomas. There was decreased activity in the visual cortex of glaucoma patients correlating with the severity of glaucoma.
Objective: To evaluate visual cortex activity using fNIRS in POAG and PACG compared with healthy controls.
Aqueous humor outflow (AHO) pathways are the main site of resistance causing elevated intraocular pressure in glaucoma, especially primary open-angle glaucoma patients. With the recently introduced technique of aqueous angiography (AA); functional, real time assessment of AHO from proximal (trabecuar meshwork) to distal pathways under physiological conditions has been made possible. AHO pathways are segmental, and AA can identify high-flow region (increased angiographic signals) and low flow region (decreased angiographic signals) in an individual.

Methods: A total of 60 patients, ≥40years of age, with a diagnosis of PACG or cataract, 30 in each group were recruited. They were subjected to a detailed ophthalmic evaluation, a WHO Quality of Life Brief Version (WHOQOL-BREF) questionnaire answering and collection of tear, aqueous and blood samples.

Through these case series of trabeculectomy complicated with DSCH, we aim to emphasize that correction of hypotony (inciting factor) is fundamental for complete resolution and prevention of recurrence.
Case Description: All three glaucoma patients underwent trabeculectomy surgery followed by DSCH on postoperative day 1.
