Objective: The aim: To clarify the frequency with which various variants of the formation and course of drug-resistant epilepsy occur in children with genetic polymor¬phisms of cytochromes CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP3A4.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The genotyping of CYP2C9*2, CYP2C9*3, CYP2C19*2, CYP3A4*1B by the allele-specific polymerase chain reaction was performed in 116 children with drug-resistant epilepsy aged from 2 to 17 years. Thirty cases (boys-15; girls-15) with a follow-up period of more than 5 years were analyzed in detail.
To monitor the functional state of the brain of children with epilepsy, we developed an original modification of the method of study ingserialmotorreactions (tapping) using touch screen devices, which all owsdistant multiple examination and to obtain aninformativeset of performance indicators and their dynamics. Clinical and anamnestic; clinical and neurological research methods were also used. Examination materials of 21 children with epilepsy (13 boys, 8 girls), aged from 6 to 18 years were analyzed.

Positive effects of the medication have been observed in these patients in terms of decreasing episodes of epilepsy seizures, protecting against recurrence of febrile seizures as well as positive electroencephalogram dynamics against background of the treatment. It enables the medication to be used as a preventive means of seizures in children with epilepsy and febrile seizures.
