Aim: Tumor budding is a significant prognostic parameter that has been related to aggressive behavior in early-stage tumors of various origins. The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinicopathological significance of tumor budding in pathologic stage (pStage) I lung adenocarcinomas.

Methods: This study comprised 107 patients who underwent curative resection for pStage I lung adenocarcinomas at our hospital between December 2010 and January 2016.

Objective: Pulmonary actinomycosis is a rare and chronic infectious disease that mimics malignancy and is frequently misdiagnosed. There are few reports that address the clinical characteristics of pulmonary actinomycosis. The objective of this research is to evaluate the clinical features, radiological findings, diagnostic approaches and treatment outcomes of pulmonary actinomycosis.

Clinical and radiological characteristics of pulmonary actinomycosis mimicking lung malignancy.

Introduction: Pulmonary actinomycosis, clinically and radiologically, mimics abscess, tuberculosis, and lung malignancy, resulting in misdiagnosis or delay in diagnosis. In this study, we analyzed the clinicoradiological features of pulmonary actinomycosis, the presence of any differences between clinical prediagnosis and radiological diagnosis, and whether imaging modalities help distinguish pulmonary actinomycosis from lung cancer.

Methods: A total of 22 patients who had a histopathological diagnosis of actinomycosis in a tertiary health center participated in this study.

Luteal phase support in intrauterine insemination cycles: a prospective randomized study of 300 mg versus 600 mg intravaginal progesterone tablet.

Vaginal progesterone (P) has been suggested to be used for luteal phase support (LPS) in controlled ovarian stimulation (COH)-intrauterine insemination (IUI) cycles, however, no concensus exists about the best P dose. Therefore, considering the fecundability rate as the primary end point, our main objective was to find the optimal dose of P in COH-IUI cycles, comparing the two groups of women, each of which comprised of 100 women either on 300 mg or 600 mg of intravaginal P tablets, in a prospective randomized study design. The mean age of the women, duration of infertility, basal and day of hCG injection hormone levels in the female and sperm parameters were similar in the two study groups.

Recurrent septo-optic dysplasia accompanied by omphalocele: a case report.

Septo-optic dysplasia, also known as de Morsier syndrome, is a rare congenital entity almost always characterized by hypoplasia/dysplasia of the optical nerve, chiasma or optic radiations and the complete or partial absence of the septum pellucidum. It may also be accompanied by other malformations, including multiple facial dysmorphism, midline defects, cleft lip and palate, musculoskeletal and other non-neurological eye features.
