Article Synopsis
  • Eutectics of pioglitazone were created with citric acid in different molar ratios (PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4) using a solvent evaporation method to study their crystallite properties and dissolution rates.
  • PC1, with a 3:1 ratio of pioglitazone to citric acid, showed the highest strain value and lowest particle size, indicating better structural deformation.
  • PC1 also achieved the best drug dissolution rate at 68% after 360 minutes, significantly outperforming the other eutectics and pure pioglitazone.
