[Heavy alcohol consumption among women].

This descriptive, exploratory study aimed to characterize women attending a Teaching Hospital in Northwest Paraná, for alcohol abuse in the years 1999 to 200, according to sociodemographic data of intoxication and associated with trauma and violence. Among 823 visits, the most frequent age range was from 20 to 49 years (58.32%).
