The coordination number of metal single-atoms, being an important factor, should be precisely controlled as it affects both activity and specificity. Herein, the introduction of nitrogen into the para position of benzene in graphyne (2N-GY) is proposed as a carrier for anchoring metal single-atoms onto pyrazine nitrogen. These atoms are then coordinated to the center of the rhombic cavity, ensuring precisely controlled coordination numbers.

Background And Objectives: Given the widespread dysbiosis of gut microbiota in patients with T2DM, it has been found that the microbiota-gut-brain axis plays an influential regulatory role in diabetic cognitive dysfunction, and improving gut dysbiosis may be a potential strategy for treating diabetic cognitive dysfunction. Total Alkaloids of Rhizoma Corydalis (TAC) is the main active component extracted from Rhizoma Corydalis. Pharmacological studies have demonstrated its significant pharmacological effects on the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems, and berberine, the main component of TAC, has a certain regulatory effect on gut microbiota.

Comparing the atmospheric deposition chemistry between above and below the planetary boundary layer (PBL) may help understand the impacts from inter-regional air pollutant transport and local emissions to air pollutant deposition. In this study, we monitored ions, soluble and insoluble potentially toxic elements (PTEs), and dissolved organic nitrogen and carbon at the base (M-base: 551 m asl), middle (M-middle: 2400 m asl), and summit (M-summit: 3077 m asl) on Mount Emei. The annual volume-weighted mean (VWM) concentrations of all measured components were substantially higher at M-base than at M-summit, except for Na, Cl, and NO as Na and Cl at M-summit may be largely from ocean and NO to NO transformation may be faster at M-base.

We report the synthesis of perovskite oxyhydride BaTiOH cubes (100-300 nm) using the topochemical hydride reaction of the hydrothermally synthesized oxide. X-ray and neutron diffraction studies revealed that the anion (hydride/oxide) exchange is greatly improved, leading to a maximum hydride content of 0.7, which is higher than previously reported, while no reaction is seen for those with oleic acid on their surface.

With technological advancements, the practical application of ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) is becoming increasingly promising, yet the need for higher ethanol concentrations highlights the growing importance of the deprotonation ability (Ni to Ni) of the catalyst. The deprotonation ability is the key step for nickel-based catalysts in EOR, as it is essential for Ni to continuously undergo deprotonation to transform into Ni in order to maintain the continuous EOR. Herein, we developed Mo-doped Ni(OH) nanosheets by a hydrothermal method.

Immunity and reproduction are vital functions for the survival and population maintenance of female insects. However, owing to limited resources, these two functions cannot be fulfilled simultaneously, resulting in an energy tradeoff between them. Notably, the mechanisms underlying this immune-reproductive trade-off, in which energy competition likely plays a central role, remain poorly understood.

Article Synopsis
  • Scientists used special data from a detector to look for rare particle decays of a type called the D_{s}^{+} decay, focusing on how it might change into other particles like kaons or pions.
  • They found strong evidence for the decay D_{s}^{+}→π^{+}ϕ and also discovered a new decay D_{s}^{+}→ρ^{+}ϕ, both involving particles that decay into pairs of electrons.
  • However, they didn't find strong signals for three other types of decays they were looking for, and set limits on how often those changes could happen.

Decreased regenerative capacity of central nervous system neurons is the main cause for failure of damaged neuron regeneration and functional recovery. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are abundant in mammalian transcriptomes, and many time- and tissue-specific lncRNAs are thought to be closely related to specific biological functions. The promoting effect of Pim-1 gene on neural differentiation and regeneration has been documented, but the effect and mechanism of its neighbor gene Lnc-Pim1 in regulating the response of central neurons to injury remain unclear.

Background: To explore the beneficial subgroups after radiotherapy in high-grade neuroendocrine cervical cancer (HGNECC) and construct two survival prognosis models to quantify the efficacy of radiotherapy assessment.

Methods: In this retrospective study, we included 592 eligible samples from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database and 56 patients with lymph-node positive HGNECC from Chongqing Medical University. Cox regression analysis was used to identify independent survival prognosis risk factors for HGNECC patients.

  • The study investigates the J/ψ and ψ(3686) decays into Σ^{0}Σ[over ¯]^{0} processes using data from the BESIII detector, which has extensive datasets.
  • It presents the first measurements of parity-violating decay parameters for Σ^{0} and Σ[over ¯]^{0}, suggesting implications for strong CP symmetry through their asymmetries.
  • The findings include the observation of opposite transverse polarizations of Σ^{0} hyperons in these decays and the ratio of S-wave to D-wave contributions, contributing valuable insights into charmonium state dynamics.

Direct methanol fuel cells rely on the efficiency of their anode/cathode electrocatalysts to facilitate the methanol oxidation reaction and oxygen reduction reaction, respectively. Platinum-based nanocatalysts are at the forefront due to their superior catalytic properties. However, the high-cost, scarcity, and low CO tolerance of platinum pose challenges for the scalable application of DMFCs.

  • Data samples from the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider were used to measure the Born cross sections for the e^{+}e^{-}→D^{0}D[over ¯]^{0} and D^{+}D^{-} processes with high precision.
  • Observations revealed clear peaks in the line shapes corresponding to various mass ranges, including G(3900), ψ(4040), ψ(4160), Y(4260), and ψ(4415).
  • These findings provide important experimental insights into the production of hadrons, particularly in the open-charm region.

Sulfide-based solid electrolytes with high ionic conductivity have attracted a lot of attention. However, the incompatibility and interfacial instability of sulfides with the lithium metal anode have emerged as pivotal constraints on their development. To address this challenge, we proposed and successfully synthesized the BH doped argyrodite-type electrolyte LiPSCl(BH) by mechanical ball milling and annealing.

Psammaplin A (PsA), a symmetrical bromotyrosine-derived disulfide marine metabolite, has been reported could inhibit HDAC1/2/3 through its thiol monomer. Inspired by the disuflide bond structure of this marine natural product, we designed and synthesized a series of PsA analogues, in which the disulfide bond of PsA was replaced with diselenide bond or cyclic disulfide/diselenide/selenenylsulfide motifs. We also studied the HDAC inhibition, cell growth inhibition, and apoptosis induction of these PsA analogues.

Based on (10087±44)×10^{6}  J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector, a partial wave analysis of the decay J/ψ→γK_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}η^{'} is performed. The mass and width of the X(2370) are measured to be 2395±11(stat)_{-94}^{+26}(syst)  MeV/c^{2} and 188_{-17}^{+18}(stat)_{-33}^{+124}(syst)  MeV, respectively. The corresponding product branching fraction is B[J/ψ→γX(2370)]×B[X(2370)→f_{0}(980)η^{'}]×B[f_{0}(980)→K_{S}^{0}K_{S}^{0}]=(1.
