Effectiveness of Pfizer Vaccine BNT162b2 Against SARS-CoV-2 in Americans 16 and Older: A Systematic Review.

This systematic review evaluates the efficacy and long-term effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine (BNT162b2) across diverse clinical and observational settings within the United States in Americans aged 16 and older. We conducted an extensive literature search utilizing various types of studies to assess the vaccine's performance in preventing symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection and severe COVID-19 outcomes. Our initial search in PubMed on March 14, 2022, yielded 6,725 potentially relevant articles, with 26 undergoing full-text assessment and eight meeting the inclusion criteria.

Intraoperative diagnosis of glioblastomamultiforme with oligodendroglial and sarcomatous components.

Glioblastoma, the most frequent primary brain tumor and the most malignant neoplasm, can have the most heterogeneous morphological presentation. Along with classical morphological features, areas of oligodendroglial component and mesenchymal differentiation may be seen. The present case was a rare case of glioblastoma presenting with sarcomatous and oligodendroglial components.

Malignant mixed epithelial tumour of ovary-serous papillary cystadenocarcinoma and transitional cell carcinoma with tubo-ovarian torsion: a rare tumour with rare presentation.

Ovarian torsion can be associated with various pathophysiological factors. Most commonly, benign epithelial ovarian tumours present with torsion. We present an unusual case of mixed malignant epithelial ovarian tumour with a predominant component of high-grade serous cystadenocarcinoma (85%) and transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) (15%) in a patient who presented with acute lower abdomen.

Primary perianal tuberculosis in a diabetic patient.

Primary perianal tuberculosis is a rare form of extra pulmonary tuberculosis. We present a case of perianal tuberculosis without any pulmonary or gastrointestinal involvement in a diabetic patient. Histopathological examination of perianal lesion demonstrated loose granulomas and positive staining for Erlich-Ziehl-Neelsen (EZN) stain.

Bernard Soulier Syndrome associated with acute myeloid leukemia.

Bernard Soulier Syndrome is a very rare congenital bleeding disorder characterized by deficiency in glycoprotein Ib (Gp Ib) which is vital for clot formation. We present a case of 21-year-old girl with onset of menorrhagia since 4 months. She was investigated and diagnosed to be a case of AML-M4 with associated Gp Ib deficiency.

Imprint cytological diagnosis of colonic adenocarcinoma metastatic to liver.

The liver is a common visceral site for metastatic tumours. Radiological features of the liver, fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and histopathological evaluation (HPE) of liver nodules have a significant role in pre-operative diagnosis of liver lesions. In an intraoperative setting, frozen section biopsy plays a major diagnostic modality but the role of imprint cytology of liver nodules is also appealing.

Context: Automated analyzers based on flow cytometry have evolved as an effective adjuvant diagnostic tool in malaria diagnosis.

Aim: To find out the correlation of interpretive (IP) message from automated hematology analyzer XS-800i and Plasmodium infection diagnosed in peripheral smear.

Settings And Design: Prospective study carried over a period of 2 years (July 2010 to June 2012).
