Derivatives of polythiophene (PT) have garnered considerable attention in organic solar cells (OSCs) because of their relatively uncomplicated molecular structures and cost-effective synthesis. Herein, we have developed two regioisomeric fluorinated PT donors, PEI3T-FITVT and PEI3T-FOTVT, to realize efficient OSCs. PEI3T-FITVT and PEI3T-FOTVT are strategically designed with different fluorine atom arrangements on thiophene-vinyl-thiophene (TVT) units.

This paper presents a novel approach to mind-wandering prediction in the context of webcam-based online learning. We implemented a Singular Value Decomposition (SVD)-based 1D temporal eye-signal extraction method, which relies solely on eye landmark detection and eliminates the need for gaze tracking or specialized hardware, then extract suitable features from the signals to train the prediction model. Our thorough experimental framework facilitates the evaluation of our approach alongside baseline models, particularly in the analysis of temporal eye signals and the prediction of attentional states.

This study applies Jellyfish Search Algorithm and five other algorithms to minimize the electricity generation cost of two hybrid systems for one operating day. The first system comprises one pumped storage hydroelectric plant and two thermal power plants. The paper optimizes the placement of soft open points (SOPs) devices, shunt capacitor banks (SCBs), and distributed generators (DGs) in the IEEE 69-node distribution power grid for reducing the power loss of a single hour and total energy losses of one year. EO is proven to be more effective than previous methods and three other applied algorithms, including the Coot optimization algorithm (COOT), Modified weight inertia factor and modified acceleration coefficients-based particle swarm optimization (CFPSO), and Tunicate swarm algorithm (TSA). So, EO is applied for the last case considering one SOPs, one wind turbine (WT), two solar photovoltaic systems (PVs), and two SCBs over one year with twelve months and 24 h each month.

Fetal magnetocardiography (fMCG) has proven to be an important tool for the prenatal monitoring of electrical cardiac activity; however, the high cost of superconducting quantum instrumentation (SQUID) poses a limitation for the dissemination of fMCG as a routine clinical technique. Recently, optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) operating within person-sized, cylindrical shields have made fMCG more practical, but environmental magnetic interference entering through the shield opening substantially degrades the quality of fMCG signals. The goal of this study was to further attenuate these interferences by placing the OPM array within a small ferrite shield.

Highlights: A series of non-conjugated acceptor polymers with flexible conjugation-break spacers (FCBSs) of different lengths were synthesized. The effect of FCBSs length on solubility of the acceptor polymers, and their photovoltaic and mechanical properties in all-polymer solar cells were explored. This work provides useful guidelines for the design of semiconducting polymers by introducing FCBS with proper length, which can giantly improved properties that are not possible to be achieved by the state-of-the-art fully conjugated polymers.

The zebrafish, Danio rerio, is a powerful model for studying neurodevelopment and stress. Nonfused ring acceptors (NFRAs) have attracted significant attention for nonfullerene organic solar cells (OSCs) owing to their chemical tunability and facile synthesis. In this study, a benzotriazole-based NFRA with chlorinated end groups (Triazole-4Cl) is developed to realize highly efficient and thermally stable NFRA-based OSCs; an analogous NFRA with nonchlorinated end groups (Triazole-H) is synthesized for comparison. Triazole-4Cl film exhibits the high-order packing structure and the near-infrared absorption capability, which are advantageous in charge transport and light harvesting of the resulting OSCs.

In light field compression, graph-based coding is powerful to exploit signal redundancy along irregular shapes and obtains good energy compaction. However, apart from high time complexity to process high dimensional graphs, their graph construction method is highly sensitive to the accuracy of disparity information between viewpoints. In real-world light field or synthetic light field generated by computer software, the use of disparity information for super-rays projection might suffer from inaccuracy due to vignetting effect and large disparity between views in the two types of light fields, respectively.

Imitation learning is an effective approach for an autonomous agent to learn control policies when an explicit reward function is unavailable, using demonstrations provided from an expert.
