Disentangling the contributions from fluctuations in the nuclear overlap size (geometrical component) and other sources at a fixed size (intrinsic component) remains a challenge. Two-hit mouse model of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction combining diet-induced obesity and renin-mediated hypertension.

Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is increasingly common but its pathogenesis is poorly understood. The ability to assess genetic and pharmacologic interventions is hampered by the lack of robust preclinical mouse models of HFpEF. We developed a novel "two-hit" model, which combines obesity and insulin resistance with chronic pressure overload to recapitulate clinical features of HFpEF.

Background: INTER- and INTRAmuscular fat (IMF) is elevated in high metabolic states and can promote inflammation. While magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) excels in depicting IMF, the lack of reproducible tools prevents the ability to measure change and track intervention success.

Background And Objectives: Indication for sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy in ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) patients with high-upstaging risk remains inconsistent. Our previous systematic review and meta-analysis had reported five variables that were significantly higher in the upstaging group. We developed the "high-risk upstaging model" and investigated its predictivity and accuracy.

Enhanced federated anomaly detection through autoencoders using summary statistics-based thresholding.

In Federated Learning, Anomaly Detection poses significant challenges due to the decentralized nature of data, especially under Non-IID distributions. This study proposes a federated threshold calculation method that aggregates summary statistics from normal and anomalous data across clients to create a global threshold for Anomaly Detection with federated Autoencoders, enhancing detection accuracy and robustness while ensuring privacy. Extensive experiments on datasets, including Credit Card Fraud Detection, Shuttle, and Covertype, show that our approach consistently outperforms existing federated and local threshold calculation methods.

Search for the Exclusive W Boson Hadronic Decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ with the ATLAS Detector.

A search for the exclusive hadronic decays W^{±}→π^{±}γ, W^{±}→K^{±}γ, and W^{±}→ρ^{±}γ is performed using up to 140  fb^{-1} of proton-proton collisions recorded with the ATLAS detector at a center-of-mass energy of sqrt[s]=13  TeV. If observed, these rare processes would provide a unique test bench for the quantum chromodynamics factorization formalism used to calculate cross sections at colliders. Additionally, at future colliders, these decays could offer a new way to measure the W boson mass through fully reconstructed decay products.

Methods: We enrolled patients from October 2020 to July 2022 in 3 groups: (a) PJI-total joint arthroplasty patients undergoing revision for infection, (b) IA Flare-IA patients with a flaring native joint, and (c) IA Aseptic-total joint arthroplasty patients with IA undergoing aseptic arthroplasty revision.
