Progranulin (PGRN) is a secreted growth factor that exhibits anti-inflammatory properties and regulates lysosomal function. Although autophagy-lysosome pathway is the main degradative pathway for α-Syn, the molecular mechanistic relationship between PD and PGRN remains unclear.
