A 53-year-old woman presented with intracranial hemorrhage caused by a ruptured cerebral aneurysm. Digital subtraction angiography revealed a large aneurysm arising from the top of the basilar artery and a Spetzler-Martin grade 3 arteriovenous malformation. Endovascular embolization of the aneurysm was completed with a slight neck remnant.

A 73-year-old woman presented with subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by a ruptured left distal anterior inferior cerebellar artery (AICA) aneurysm. Computed tomography showed a thin subarachnoid hemorrhage in the ambient cistern, and digital subtraction angiography revealed an aneurysm arising from the lateral branch of the left AICA, which was separate from the meatal loop. Endovascular treatment was performed to achieve parent artery occlusion using two Guglielmi detachable coils.

A 60-year-old man presented with general convulsion. Computed tomographic (CT) scans and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging showed two meningiomas located at the bilateral frontal convex respectively. In spite of the similar tumor size, the left tumor only had marked peritumoral edema.

Background: To develop an effective therapeutic strategy for patients with diencephalic pilocytic astrocytomas (PA), we must understand the long-term effects and problems of conventional treatments.

Methods: We performed a retrospective follow-up of four infants with PA in the diencephalon.

Conclusion: The initial treatment consisted of partial tumor removal and/or external radiation.
