The moss Physcomitrella patens is used as a model plant to study plastid peptidoglycan biosynthesis. In bacteria, MurJ flippase transports peptidoglycan precursors from the cytoplasm to the periplasm.

We report the complete genome sequence of ceftriaxone-resistant SS3160, harboring the mosaic -60.001 allele. This Japanese isolate has a unique sequence type (ST), ST13429, which was determined by multilocus sequence typing from the chromosome sequence (2,214,955 bp).

Abscopal effect of radiation therapy after nivolumab monotherapy in a patient with oral mucosal melanoma: A case report.

The Abscopal effect is a rare phenomenon whereby tumors outside of the irradiated field regress due to systemic antitumor effects of localized radiotherapy. In patients with oral mucosal melanoma, only one instance of the abscopal effect has been described in the English-language literature [1]. Herein, we describe an instance of the abscopal effect following whole-brain radiation therapy after nivolumab monotherapy in a patient with oral mucosal melanoma.

Gold-catalyzed dual C-C bond cleavage of biphenylenes bearing a pendant alkyne at ambient temperature.

We report a catalytic skeletal rearrangement of biphenylenes with a pendant alkyne moiety at room temperature by a cationic gold catalyst, which involves the cleavage of two bonds: the C-C bond of biphenylene and the C(sp)-C(sp2 or sp3) bond. Experimental and theoretical studies revealed that the reaction mechanism included π-activation of the alkyne, ring expansion and 1,2-carbon shift.

Durvalumab-induced Immune-related Hepatitis in a Patient with Non-small Cell Lung Cancer.

We herein report the case of a 79-year-old patient with unresectable stage III non-small cell lung cancer who developed immune-related hepatitis caused by durvalumab administration. Durvalumab was administered at 10 mg/kg every two weeks after the treatment with carboplatin (AUC2), paclitaxel (35 mg/m), and 60 Gy radiation. At the day 208 in which the 14th durvalumab administration was scheduled, the patient was urgently hospitalized due to CTCAE Grade 4 hepatic dysfunction detected during the an outpatient blood sampling test.

Improved reconstruction method for phase stepping data with stepping errors and dose fluctuations.

In conventional grating-based X-ray interferometry, it is necessary to repeatedly translate one of the gratings with high accuracy in regular submicron steps and to ensure a constant dose delivery during each step. However, stepping errors and dose fluctuations inevitably occur due to mechanical inaccuracies and/or thermal drift of the interferometer during the stepping process. As a result of these stepping errors and dose fluctuations, the standard reconstruction procedure without considering them causes artifacts in the images as stripes of specific frequencies.

TBEP may have adverse effects on human health; however, its impact on immune and allergic responses remains largely uncharacterized. In this study, the effects of low-dose TBEP comparable with the level of actual human exposure to that of human tolerable daily intake on allergic asthmatic mice were explored.
