Objective: This study aimed to quantify the change in pressure on the cage during compression manipulation in lumbar interbody fusion. While the procedure involves applying compression between pedicle screws to press the cage against the endplate, the exact compression force remains elusive. We hypothesize that an intact facet joint might serve as a fulcrum, potentially reducing cage pressure.

Owing to the limited capacity for growth of the forearm bones between the ages of ten to sixteen years, many queries are engendered concerning apt treatment strategies. The pressing questions are whether these should be conservative or surgical and the precise method to be employed in surgical interventions.

Postoperative Dysphagia Subsequent to Posterior Fixation of an Axis Fracture Without Cranial Fixation: A Case Report.

The incidence of dysphagia following cervical fusion, which involves the occipital bone, is well established. However, dysphagia occurring after cervical fusion not involving the occipital bone is exceedingly rare. We present a case report of a 54-year-old male who developed unexplained dysphagia subsequent to posterior fusion up to C1-3 for an axis fracture.
