Measurement Model of Women's Preferences in Obstetrician and Gynecologist Selection in the Private Sector: Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis.

Background: The purpose of this study is to construct and validate a measurement model of women's preferences in Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB/GYN) selection in the private sector of non-clinical parameters.

Methods: This methodological study included 462 respondents in OB/GYN's offices to a researcher-made questionnaire. The patients visited 57 offices of OB/GYNs in the city of Mashhad in Iran and completed women's preferences in OB/GYN selection questionnaire over a 2-month period from January to February 2018.

Acinetobacter baumannii is a Gram-negative bacterium that has recently been identified as a leading nosocomial pathogen. An effective vaccine would help alleviate the burden of disease incurred by this pathogen; however, there are currently no licensed vaccines offering protection against Acinetobacter baumannii infection.

A meta-analysis of the literature was conducted using Medline, PubMed, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library in accordance with PRISMA guidelines.

Low-energy total diet replacement intervention in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity treated with insulin: a randomized trial.

Objectives: The management of patients with long-standing type 2 diabetes and obesity receiving insulin therapy (IT) is a substantial clinical challenge. Our objective was to examine the effect of a low-energy total diet replacement (TDR) intervention versus standardized dietetic care in patients with long-standing type 2 diabetes and obesity receiving IT.

Research Design And Methods: In a prospective randomized controlled trial, 90 participants with type 2 diabetes and obesity receiving IT were assigned to either a low-energy TDR (intervention) or standardized dietetic care (control) in an outpatient setting.

Preparation and characterization of hydrogel nanocomposite based on nanocellulose and acrylic acid in the presence of urea.

In this study, acrylic acid (AA) and cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) were used as main materials to synthesize an acrylic-nanocellulose hybrid hydrogel nanocomposite in the presence of urea. The interpenetrating polymer networks were obtained by radical polymerization in different urea: AA ratios (0:10, 1:10, 3:10, 5:10, 10:10). Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) combined with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and elemental analysis techniques confirmed the chemical interaction of urea in the network structure.

Cu-metal organic frameworks (Cu-MOF) as an environment-friendly and economical catalyst for one pot synthesis of tacrine derivatives.

The present work describes the catalytic activity of Cu-MOF for the one-pot synthesis of tacrine derivatives a four-component reaction of 2-hydroxynaphthalene-1,4-dione, aldehydes, malononitrile and cycloketones in the presence of AlCl. The structure of the synthesized compound is confirmed by H NMR, C NMR, IR, and MASS. The catalyst prepared under pressure is characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and SEM.

Background: Metal phosphides are widely used as a rodenticide and insecticide and poisoning with these substances has a very high mortality. The aim of this study was to evaluate the butyrylcholinesterase (BuCh) level in poisoning with metal phosphides.

Methods: In this case series study, 60 poisoned patients with zinc phosphide (ZnP) and aluminum phosphide (ALP) who was admitted to poisoning ward in Hamadan, Iran, enrolled in the study and BuCh level was measured.

A simple and efficient method to synthesize highly water-dispersible calcium lignosulfonate-coated manganese oxide nanoparticles as a potential candidate for the current magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents was reported. Hydrophobic MnO nanoparticles with dimensions of about 10 nm were prepared by thermal decomposition of manganese(ii)acetylacetonate in the presence of oleic acid as a surfactant. The characteristics of the synthesized nanoparticles, cytotoxicity assay and MRI properties were investigated in detail.
