The study evaluates the attitudes and practices of physicians at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences towards consultation-liaison (CL) psychiatry to enhance integrated patient care.
A questionnaire was distributed to various medical professionals in teaching hospitals, revealing that 62.6% had very positive attitudes and 98.3% practiced CL psychiatry acceptably.
Common barriers to psychiatric consultations included lack of time, forgetfulness, limited access to psychiatrists, and skepticism about the need for such consultations.
