Acute Liver failure (ALF) is a life-threatening disease and is determined by coagulopathy (with INR ≥ 1.5) and hepatic encephalopathy as a result of severe liver injury in patients without preexisting liver disease. Since there are problems with liver transplantation including lack of donors, use of immunosuppressive drugs, and high costs of this process, new therapeutic approaches alongside current treatments are needed.

A practical technique was applied to fabricate MoWS nanocomposite through a one-pot hydrothermal method for use as the electrocatalyst. The characterization of MoWS nanocomposite was investigated by several techniques to identify the size, crystal structure, and elemental composition. The morphologies of the three freshwater stentorid ciliates in Korea, Stentor coeruleus (Pallas, 1766); Stentor muelleri Ehrenberg, 1831, and Stentor tartari Murthy Bai, 1974, were investigated based on live observations and protargol impregnation. The Korean population of S. tartari exhibits the following characteristics: body size 200-355 × 85-135 µm in vivo, 62-106 somatic kineties, 8-13 peristomial kineties, 110-180 adoral membranelles, mostly two macronuclear nodules and 5-18 micronuclei, reddish and colorless cortical granules and the presence of symbiotic algae.

This paper describes data from a systematic review and meta-analysis [1] conducted to identify and evaluate published peer reviewed evidence on the association between perineal use of talc powder and risk of ovarian cancer. These data were collected from multiple electronic bibliographic databases, as well as from grey literature sources, without applying time, language or other filters. A meta-analysis was conducted to quantitatively assess the ovarian cancer risk in relation to talc use and other potential risk factors.

Highly efficient broadband absorbing surfaces covering the UV, visible and near-IR regions are of great importance for low-light imaging devices, optical devices and optoelectronic devices. In this work, we demonstrate the fabrication of remarkably efficient absorbing surfaces due to the formation of nanoflower-like cavity structures on a stainless steel (SS304) surface, along with micropatterning in a hierarchical fashion. The fabrication process is carried out using noncontact, programmable, single-step laser irradiation by an inexpensive and robust 532 nm nanosecond laser.

This work has attempted to investigate the potential of ZnO/CoFeO magnetic nanocomposite to mineralize imidacloprid completely to have sustainable pollutant free and safe water supply. The co-precipitation method was performed to prepare the composites; was performed to characterize composites, scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive x-ray crystallography (EDX), x-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is an autosomal dominant disease most often caused by mutations in the low-density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR) gene, which consists of 18 exons spanning 45 kb and codes for a precursor protein of 860 amino acids. Choroid plexus papilloma (CPP) is a rare benign tumor of the central nervous system that is usually confined to the cerebral ventricles. According to the World Health Organization, CPP corresponds to a grade I atypical CPP (a-CPP); however, it can become more aggressive and reach grade II, which can rarely undergo malignant transformation into a choroid plexus carcinoma (grade III).
