Purpose: To investigate temporomandibular disorder (TMD) prevalence as well as potential TMD risk factors among postgraduate students.
Materials And Methods: In this cross-sectional and correlation study, 1,255 postgraduate students from different universities were recruited to answer Fonseca's Anamnestic Index (FAI) in addition to collected demographic data and relevant dental history. FAI was used to classify TMD severity.
Background: The impact of various management plans on subsequent fertility after tubal ectopic pregnancy (EP) is not well known. The objective of the present study was an evaluation of the subsequent fertility outcome among women with EP managed either surgical or medical with systemic methotrexate or medical management followed by surgical one.
Patients And Methods: A retrospective cohort study was done by reviewing of medical records of all women diagnosed with EP at King Faisal Military Hospital, Southern Region, Saudi Arabia throughout the period from January 2015 to December 2016 provided that they were hemodynamic stable, with starting βhCG level less than 10000 IU/L, and adnexal mass less than 5 cm.
Introduction: To detect the accuracy of the risk of malignancy index-I (RMI-I) in diagnosing ovarian malignancy in menopausal women.
Material And Methods: Eighty-two menopausal women with suspected ovarian masses (OMs) scheduled for surgery were included in this study. Blood samples were preoperatively collected from participants to measure the CA-125, followed by transvaginal sonography to evaluate the suspected OMs regarding the consistency, whether the OMs were unilateral or bilateral, unilocular or multilocular, and for extra-ovarian metastasis.
Purpose: Spetzler-Martin grade (SMG) I-II (low-grade) brain arteriovenous malformations (BAVMs) are often considered safe for microsurgical resection; however, the role of endovascular treatment (EVT) remains to be clarified in this indication, especially for unruptured BAVMs. The purpose of our study was to assess the safety and effectiveness of endovascular treatment as the first-line treatment for low-grade BAVMs.
Methods: From our local database, we retrospectively retrieved patients with low-grade BAVMs, either ruptured or unruptured, treated by embolization as first-line treatment in our department between January 2005 and January 2020.
Purpose: To assess the obliteration rate, functional outcome, hemorrhagic complication, and mortality rates of exclusion treatment of low-grade brain arteriovenous malformations (BAVMs) (Spetzler and Martin grades (SMGs) 1 and 2), either ruptured or unruptured.
Methods: Electronic databases-Ovid MEDLINE and PubMed-were searched for studies in which there was evidence of exclusion treatment of low-grade BAVMs treated either by endovascular, surgical, radiosurgical, or multimodality treatment. The primary outcome of interest was angiographic obliteration post-treatment and at follow-up.
Objective: Treatment of temporomandibular disc displacement with reduction is controversial. This study assesses the use of an anterior positioning splint with botulinum toxin in the lateral pterygoid muscle (BTX) for such cases.
Methods: Twelve joints were included; groups I and II received BTX injection while group II also received an anterior positioning splint.
Chronic wasting disease (CWD) is the transmissible spongiform encephalopathy or prion disease affecting cervids. In 2016, the first cases of CWD were reported in Europe in Norwegian wild reindeer and moose. The origin and zoonotic potential of these new prion isolates remain unknown.

It has been demonstrated that in the ewe during estrus, there is a degree of cervical relaxation mediated by ovarian and possibly gonadotrohic hormones, and we set out to investigate factors that might enhance cervical relaxation. Five experiments were conducted on ewes of different breeds to determine: 1) the pattern of cervical penetration during the periovulatory period in ewes of several breeds (Welsh Mountain, Île-de-France, Vendéenne, Romanov and Sarda); 2) the effect of the "ram effect" a socio-sexual stimulus, on cervical penetration; and 3) the effects of the intracervical administration of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), oxytocin and a prostaglandin E agonist (misoprostol) on the depth of cervical penetration during the periovulatory period.

We analyzed buccal swab samples obtained from preclinical scrapie-infected sheep by concentrating the collected prions on silicon dioxide, followed by amplification by serial protein misfolding cyclic amplification. Data clearly demonstrate that prions are present in buccal swab samples from sheep with a VRQ/VRQ PRNP genotype during preclinical scrapie infection.

These data strongly suggest the widespread presence of subclinical scrapie infections within scrapie-exposed flocks containing sheep with a range of susceptible PRNP genotypes. These data also lead to the hypothesis that similar subclinical disease states may be common for other animal and human prion diseases.

Histology and immunohistochemistry were used to diagnose a histiocytic sarcoma in a 16-year-old female and a fibroblastic meningioma in a 13-year-old male. Before one died and the other was euthanased both camels had shown progressive neurological signs, including circling and ataxia.
