Background: Resistance () genes are crucial for defending Perilla against pathogens like anthracnose, downy mildew, and phytophthora blight. Nucleotide-binding site leucine-rich repeat (NBS-LRR) genes, the largest -gene family, play a central role in immunity. This study aimed to identify and characterize NBS-LRR genes in 'Jeju17'.

In this study, we produced formalin-, binary ethylenimine (BEI)-, β-propiolactone (BPL)-, and heat-treated, inactivated VHSV vaccines; and observed the glycoprotein changes in the inactivated VHSV vaccines and confirmed their correlation with vaccine efficacy. The control group showed a 100 % cumulative mortality rate, but the groups immunized with formalin- and BPL-inactivated VHSV vaccines had high survival rates of 80 % and 90 %, and the virus copy numbers was significantly low.

The aim of this study was to observe how the top shell, Turbo sazae, an invertebrate that feeds on macroalgae, adapts to a benthic environment with a reduced macroalgae population owing to replacement by calcareous algae. Using tank experiments, the top shells were cultured for 18 weeks.

The demand for the use of secondary batteries is increasing rapidly worldwide in order to solve global warming and achieve carbon neutrality. Major minerals used to produce cathode materials, which are key raw materials for secondary batteries, are treated as conflict minerals due to their limited reserves, and accordingly, research on the battery recycling industry is urgent for the sustainable secondary battery industry. There is a significant risk of accidents because there is a lack of prior research data on the battery recycling process and various chemicals are used in the entire recycling process.

Unfortunately, no permanent cure exists, and current medical and surgical treatments offer only temporary relief. Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by immune system dysfunction.

Given that tiller angle is regulated by multiple genes, it is important to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with tiller angle. Recently, with the advancement of imaging technology for plant phenotyping, it has become possible to quickly and accurately measure agronomic traits of breeding populations.

Under pure water-fed conditions, electrochemical reactions occur solely at active sites connected to ionic networks. This study introduces an eco-friendly patterning technique leveraging membrane swelling properties by applying mechanical stress during dehydration under fixed constraints.

Peptide-based prodrugs, such as peptide-drug conjugates (PDCs), are currently being developed for cancer therapy. PDCs are considered single-component nanomedicines with various functionalities. The peptide moieties provide stability to the PDCs, which self-assemble into nanostructures in an aqueous medium.

The tribopositive performance of the CMP shells is enhanced with the assistance of MnO nanowires (MnO NW), likely due to cationic charge transfer from the tribopositive CMP layers to the surface Mn and Mn species of MnO NW. This is supported by model studies.

However, in-depth research on innate immunity in marine invertebrates remains sparse. We generated the first de novo genome and transcriptome sequences of copepod Labidocera rotunda using Illumina paired-end data and conducted a comparative genome analysis including five crustaceans (four copepods and one branchiopod species).

However, it is important to verify the effect of lactate supplementation alone and the timing of glycogen recovery. Therefore, in this study, we aimed to examine the effect of lactate supplementation immediately after exercise on glycogen recovery in mice liver and skeletal muscle at 1, 3, and 5 h after exercise.

A total of 618 sets of data, including ultrasonic, solution, and pollutant characteristics, were collected from 89 previous studies. Considering the difference between the electrical power (P) and calorimetric power (P), the collected data were divided into two groups: data with P and data with P.

Background: Immunotherapy is a powerful strategy for treating cancer and can be used to inhibit the post-surgical relapse of tumors.
Methods: To achieve this, a Cell@hydrogel was developed as a template using a mixture of CT26 tumor cells and Pluronic® F-127/gelatin.
Results: The proposed mixture has a solution-to-gelation functionality and vice versa.
This experiment was performed to evaluate the inclusion impact of various levels of jack mackerel meal (JMM) in olive flounder () feeds substituting 50% FM by duck by-product meal (DBM) on growth, feed availability, and economic efficiency. Seven experimental diets were prepared. The control (Con) diet contained 60% FM.

Adding a moiré superlattice potential enriches the BBG physics with the formation of topological minibands - potentially leading to tunable exotic quantum transport. Here, we present magnetotransport measurements of a high-quality bilayer graphene-hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) heterostructure.

To improve the sialylation of therapeutic proteins, we examined the effect of sialyllactose supplementation on sialylation of Fc-fusion glycoproteins produced in rCHO cells. Two enzymatically-synthesized sialyllactoses, 3'-sialyllactose (3'-SL) and 6'-sialyllactose (6'-SL), were administered separately to two rCHO cell lines producing the same Fc-fusion glycoprotein derived from DUKX-B11 and DG44, respectively.
