: Although several biomechanical studies have been reported, few clinical studies have compared the efficacy of monoaxial and polyaxial pedicle screws in the surgical treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (AIS). This study aims to compare the radiological and clinical outcomes of mono- and polyaxial pedicle screws in the surgical treatment of AIS. : A total of 46 AIS patients who underwent surgery to treat scoliosis using pedicle screw instrumentation (PSI) and rod derotation (RD) were divided into two groups according to the use of pedicle screws: the monoaxial group ( = 23) and polyaxial group ( = 23).

We aimed to identify the CS failure rate, predictors of failure, and its impact on the adenoma detection rate (ADR). Strict (based on patient experience) and expanded (based on doses of sedative medications) definitions of CS failure were used.

However, the effects of colonic stenting on long-term oncologic outcomes are debatable. This study aimed to compare the long-term oncologic outcomes of preoperative SEMS insertion with those of immediate surgery in patients with obstructing left-sided colorectal cancer.

Materials And Methods: The snake robot employs the characteristics of both a manual endoscope and a multi-segment snake robot.
Purpose: We report the performance of natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) low anterior resection in animals using transanal total mesorectal excision (TME) with laparoscopic assistance and endoscopic inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) dissection.
Methods: Four pigs weighing 45 kg each, and one dog weighing 25 kg, underwent surgery via a transanal approach. The rectum was occluded transanally using a purse-string suture, approximately 3-4 cm from the anal verge.
